BMW people are bitches. Mercede's is higher class in every possible aspect from the sales people to the service clear to the interiors. While its true there's been a few models with some bad quality control problems but what company HASN'T had that?

Audi DOES have an offering, its called an RS4. Which again, falls short to the beemer. BMW is a drivers car, mercedes is a luxury car trying to reproduce the BMW feel. Hence using a 6.2 which they really need to compete with a 4.0 bmw engine.

I didn't really think of it primarily because of the "not nearly as quick" part. this benz and the 6.2 engine puts it into a totally different class in my opinion. There's the Large luxury sports sedan segment and then there's the insanely fast large luxury sports sedan sub segment ;)
If you don't mind the total lack of refinement the SRT-8 charger and 300's are up there in the fast large sedan market but the luxury and overall quality is such a joke compared to a benz. Coming in at basically half the price though most of us can overlook it...
I had a Charger R/t and honestly the quality was horrible. I sold it at around 20k miles when the TRANSMISSION started getting goofy on me and the dealer wouldn't do shit about it. I guess I just roughed it up a bit too much.
Personally I don't mind cheap leather, I have kids... the good leather will only get ruined by them.
I'm a honda civic hybrid driver these days... I wish somebody like mercedes or BMW would bring a 1 series type car with DIESEL or hell even a decently priced gas hybrid that can get 50MPG or more so that I can have a better interior. Shit even an acura version of this civic would be nice. The interior is horrible.

BMW is currently importing the 335i as a diesel and will soon bring the 135i and 128i as a diesel as well.
If interior is more important to you then the drive, you are not a BMW candidate.
Your argument about buying a SRT does not apply because an SRT is a muscle car, not a sports car. An SRT may be somewhat fast in a straight line but god forbid you try turning.
Audi offers a better driver to car to road experience then Benz does but it still falls short to the BMW because you cant offer agility and sporty feel with a overweight all-wheel drive piggie. But they come close!
Mercedes is a straight forward luxury ride stuffed with the biggest engine they can fit and pushed out the door to play with the boys. A C63 with its massive 6.2L V8 should be able to rip 4.0L M3s on any track, all day, every day with no excuses. But they dont.
BMW - interiors have gone to shit, engines are the BEST in the world (look it up), handling is beyond comprehension for Audi or Benz and so is how much power they can derive from such small yet high revving engines. 8400rpm redline on a 8cylinder?!?!, get out. Ultimate Driving Machine indeed :)
