I just saw Dexter for the first time this weekend, interesting show but his character and dialog are way too forced some times. You're a callous psychopath, yeah I get it, you don't have to mention your lack of feelings 10 times an episode.

The whole inner dialog combined with taking place in Miami.. is it from the same guy who made Burn Notice?

I like them both too.. Have you noticed that they are the two shows on tv that features people smoking cigarettes in EVERY episode?
In fact, I think every single contestant on Hells Kitchen smokes this season. Not sure about every deckhand on every boat, but most are smoking in every episode as well.

Im going to have to check out this Dextar show. I cant believe I havent heard of it until now.

Hell's Kitchen was always cheesy, but this year is the worst. Everything looks almost staged. And there is ZERO talent in the entire crew.

Deadliest Catch is something you'd THINK would have played itself out by now, but it's still great.

Dexter, Army Wives, Rescue Me, The Shield, Dirty Sexy Money, The Riches, Lost - I could go on - I am a total TV addict and hate when I go out of town for more than a week because TiVo starts erasing old shows I haven't watched yet :(

half of the people on deadliest catch are substance abusers... they ( the producers ) certainly do a good job at hiding it... but you can still tell with the deckhands...

I wonder what all the camera crew goes through on those boats... I wonder if they have a trailing crew boat, they would have to with the limited space already on those boats...

i have put a serious hold on my caffeine ( coffee) ,, i still slam down a redbull here n there though

never touched the white... of any kind,,, only ventured forth into the green in my day...

just seen plenty of the crackhead nature to recognize it...

Im sure they are all on speed of some sort. But they have to preform at a pretty high level with no sleep in horrible conditions, while not killing themselves. Whatever it takes I guess. Hell our fighter pilots take some crazy shit to preform and they have missles to play with.

I kinda thought that myself-when they complain about being tired and working 70 hours straight...seems like a lot of them would be snorting/shooting something

Those are my favorite shows as well:-) It's amazing that watching people catch crabs over and over again can hold our attention, but it does. It's #1 for me.

The camera crews stay on the same boats according to shows I've seen that spoke about how hard their job was too. If the boat goes down, so do the camera people. There's no chase boat coming, just coast guard if you're lucky.

I chose to not believe that the crews are on illegal drugs. I see no need for it to be inevitable at all. Who hasnt at some point in their life been so exhausted that they fell asleep in their clothes and their muscles feel like lead when they wake up?

Those long shifts of physically demanding work would be a real bitch for weeks on end. Drugs would probably barely penetrate anyway under those conditions.
