They used to have that game every year then they stopped. There's talk of it starting up again. It would be good for the country I think.

Yeah..now imagine my first day in central London being the day before that match. The Charing Cross area, which I now know very well but had never been to before, was covered with Scottish guys in those orange wigs roaming around trying to find a place to stay. They kept coming up to us asking if we knew of any hotels with rooms. I think London has been downhill for me since that day..lol
In all actuality it felt like a really good natured atmosphere and for once the rivalry was based on fun.
It is funny, I mark how long I have come culturally by the 'Three Lions Song' that was out at that time. When I moved here I didn't get one single reference in that song and now nearly 12 years on I not only 'get' every reference but could probably talk about them like I actually saw them in person.
