The issue is censoring the websites.

When Beast Sex Sites or other iffy niche sites signup with a biller the biller knows, doesn't matter if it is Verotel or any other company out there.

Now under pressure they are closing sites, returning membership fees over night.

I never thought about it that way, but you are probably right. However I don't use my "Visa" Credit Card, but my Visa Check Card.

When I opened my checking account they asked if I would like a debit card, I said sure! When I received my debit card they visa symbol was on it and I called the bank and asked them about it. They told me that everywhere Visa is accepted I can now use my checking account debit card, its an addition.

I thought this was kewl and a great addition. I have since that day 3 years ago hardly used cash anymore, checks? pfff I haven't written a check in a store since that day either. It's a great conviniece.

So basically its my checking account. I think more billers should have debit card options. Sure credit cards are great, but if they would can Visa from my site and offer checking only, I would signup with my checking account and recurr on that.

Oh well I guess we just sit back and wait to see who else will fall under the Visa Censorship.

And i do stand to my point. I don't like Censorship. Just because I don't like or agree with something or pictures posted on the net that doesn't mean they (Credit Card Companies) should take it in their own hands to tell us Adults what we can do with our Credit Cards.

From what I have heard it has got nothing to do with high chargebacks. The only thing it has got something to do with is VISA wanting to play god once again, telling you what you can and can not put on your page.... I was told one of the models VISA complained about was 27 years old, and that they had model releases and all papers in order. But it didn't help, she had ponytails and VISA must not have liked that. So the site had to be closed down, or they would lose their merchant account, simple as that.

And where did you get your information about Verotel being involved in this, it has got nothing to do with Verotel. This is all Hans Burger / VISA stuff. It was on his own private merchant account those rebills were deleted, not a Verotel account....

Check cards and bank accounts in general are also convenience services and not guranteed civil rights. you don't have to put your money in the bank.

and the rules that apply to a visa credit card also apply to a visa check card.
