SEO is definitely dying out....

Have solid/good content is the key to growing traffic.

Social voting for Page rank? Nah to easy to spam popularity and rig the search results if it were based on toolbar based social voting.

ALot easier to scam than spam SEO.

I always take three steps back from anyone calling themself an SEO expert or claiming to specialize in SEO.

There are certainly techniques that work to help make what you do better, and ways to improve search results, but there is so much BS, that those three letters immediately raise a red flag with me.
