"Q-8. I WANT TO GET RID OF THE BATS IN THE ATTIC MYSELF. IS THAT OK?(Back to FAQ list )
A. Killing bats on purpose is a very bad idea. Bats are a very valuable part of the ecosystem, and you would be doing yourself and your neighbors a disservice if you were to kill these insect-eaters. If you were to kill the bats, you?d be left with hundreds of rotting bat carcasses and the smell and biohazard that comes along with them."
I think you just got taco'd

He found that the air conditioning repair guys had left a vent cover off a couple months ago and apparently, we've got a family of bats living in the attic.
These are some BIG bats. :batman
Their answer to this problem is to drop a poison bomb on the other side of the house, where we have to evacuate for 5 hours, minimum. He'll be back Sunday to do this side of the house. We'll have to take my snake and our roommate's dog with us for the day and come back that night hoping that Panamanian time estimates don't result in our untimely deaths.
I asked him about what happens when these critters die up there. He says that they'll dry up as a result of something in the poison gas and he swears they won't stink. I'm not so sure, but I told him if they did smell, even a little...his skinny ass was squeezing in there to clean up the carcasses.
Aah...the joys of living in Central America.
