1; Nirvana - overrated beyond acceptable limits
2; Stones - why isn't anyone enforcing legal retirement ages for rockers??? 3; The Doors - simply not my sound. ep |
The only band on the first page that is actually over rated is Jane's Addiction, the rest rock. I'm not reading page 2 or 3... this thread is 95% garbage.

Listen to some of the crap that has come out in the last 15 years to see some serious bullshit. I can't believe ppl saying the stones or nirvana or the guns n' roses are overrated haha, I bet you listen to electronica and feel like it's almost art. |

Allright so after 125 posts of ignorance, occassional dementia and desperate effort to figure out what is beeing discussed, I have a hot candidate to announce:
He is: a) one single person grossing the most revenue per year in the whole music industry b) was a member of the most famous band of all time c) untouchable Noone else than SIR Paul McCartney! http://www.ecorazzi.com/wp-content/u...07/01/paul.jpg Now don't get me wrong I am sure he is a very talented songwriter but 98 pct. of what I heard since The Beatles disbanded sucked serious balls. It's like if you would want to take the most mediocre sample group of squares, packed them into the bus for a roadtrip and then wanted to play them something that will keep them comfortable. A bit of "rockin" but not too much, not too complicated and totally non conflicting lyrics, very melodic, simple to remember - very much easy listening at the end. Although I kind of liked what he did with Michael Jackson in the times when Jacko was still black and also the song with the monks that are about to be run over by a train in the video. I would never touch the legacy of the Beatles but Paul McCartney and the wings, that's not my cup of tea, even served by sir Paul personally. I know he will probably sue me for these statements, he never left money on the table. |

I was looking for the essence that makes Zeppelin sound like Zeppelin for ages and after I read this and played the first four albums again - I heard it there, great observation! |
A different way to ask is "What music don't you like that lots of other people think is legendary/classic"?
I like Zeppelin. I can't stand U2. |
