"To my recollection, Louis Jordan was the first one that I heard play rock and roll."

Let's not forget about Ike Turner...motherfucker deserves way more credit than he gets and is technically responsible for the first rock and roll song ever recorded according to the dudes at sun records ("Rocket 88" in 1951) |
Even the most critically acclaimed hip hop, like Kanye West is crap with a capital A.

Fact: the music industry is not being invaded by blacks, it's being invaded by the A&R's that sign these shitty artists.
If you don't like rap here's an idea: DON'T LISTEN TO IT. It's really fucking simple to avoid rap music when you don't like it all together... now if you're fan of it but don't like the dumb bling bling side of it, then you MIGHT have something to complain about. |
invade
1. To enter by force in order to conquer or pillage. 2. To encroach or intrude on; violate: “The principal of the trusts could not be invaded without trustee approval” (Barbara Goldsmith). 3. To overrun as if by invading; infest: “About 1917 the shipworm invaded the harbor of San Francisco” (Rachel Carson). 4. To enter and permeate, especially harmfully. |

My reason? Well... https://youtube.com/watch?v=ilL9SL7AiKc |
To Dirty F: the fact that you only focus on the dumb side of hiphop and think it should represent the entire culture as a whole could very well place you into the same category as the "retarded apes" you refer to. Do you honestly think being the close minded racist moron you are makes you a better person?

Just sampled tracks and rhymes with sorry lyrics. |
Now why can't Lil Wayne overdose on meds before his next big tour? If I was God I'd pick that alternative to Michael Jackson anyday.

I still listen to the music that I listened to when I was 14-18. It's almost all I listen to actually. Of course, the music that I listened to was never rap, hip-hop, R&B or whatever. Music I used to listen to from 14-18 Iron Maiden, W.A.S.P, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Quiet Riot, Dokken, Winger, Yngwie Malmsteen and on and on.. Music I listen to now? See partial list above. |

This thread is sad, but like a few people pointed out it shows the true feelings of alot of people. I happen to enjoy hiphop if "it's good", just like any other genre.. and we all know what's good and bad is subjective.
Yes hip hop is a cultural form of music, but playing the race card is a bit broad on something so niche. The same people complaining about hip hop and the "dumb blacks" probably aren't blasting winger, warrant or air supply at the moment.. Oh lets not forget Mr. Big, Nelson, the list goes on...... :2 cents: |

This includes lots of white people too. It's hard to find anyone in my circle that actually listens to rock. |
Yes and 90% of those who listen to ghetto music are on crack, meth, or some sort of pills.
That is a fact! Not an opinion! Rap and Hip Hop are the biggest western decline of our civilization! It also gave way to black celebs to be able to shoot people and get away by using the race card. Money and popularity. Here is a question... How many black rapper celebs have gotten away with straight up murder..?? |
