So the tennis ball on the tailpipe is just to prevent the prop from whacking it when parked or what?

I remember this dude with an ultralight taking off on a calm stretch of river when I was fishing one day. Freaked me the fuck out, but in an admiring way. Nothing but trees and powerlines lining the river, so that took some tennis balls.
