Hello all GFY members. I am sticking this thread out there for a friend of mine, Dirty Danza.

Saturday night Dirty Danza's house caught on fire and spread very rapidly here in Las Vegas. His house has been deemed unlivable and both of his vehicles were burned to the point of not being able to be driven.

Everyone made it out of the house ok but are in a world of shit because of the fire.

I myself and going to make a donation to help him, his wife, and kids and if you can do the same I am sure it would be greatly appreciated.

Please send all donations for Danza to his epassporte and paypal.

Epass: [email protected] Paypal: [email protected]

Here is the link to the pics, http://gallery.me.com/chrisbarden#10...or=black&sel=6

If you need any further information please feel free to contact me as I know Danza doesnt have very stable internet at this time.

Best wishes to you and your family brother!

Just sent a donation to his paypal. Sorry to hear this news. It's nice to have a friend like Big_d looking out for him :thumbsup

Noe 08-19-2008 06:08 AM

Where are they staying right now? Call me at the office and let me know if there's anything that I can do for them and their kids here locally, if they need a place to stay for the next couple of days, clothes, or just a place for the kids to hang out the next couple of days so they can take care of things.

tranza 08-19-2008 06:26 AM

Fuck, that really sucks...I hope everything gets better soon to Dirty Danza!

Holly 08-19-2008 06:43 AM

I have farmers insurance on my rental, when I had some renters move out, they did a bunch of damage, Over $20k, I called the insurance agent, he sent out the adjuster the next day, the day after that I had a check for all the damages. The only thing I had to wait for is the mortgage company to sign the check first and then the bank to allow the funds. I will never use a different insurance company after that. The piece of mind I have is worth it

Kudles 08-19-2008 11:36 AM

Wow thats horrible my thoughts go out to his family

It just amazes me that there are posters who go through tragedies without needing a dime from other webmasters. Speaking of fires, Happypeekers and Deeprub come to mind. Not only did they not ask for anything, they wouldn't ACCEPT anything. Ditto for several who went through Katrina.

Obviously if you want to give money, by all means do so. But sometimes the outright begging here just blows me away. And I always wonder if they pay back what was given once they get back on their feet.

I'm surprised you don't use USAA. To date, and I think I've had to use them all either by me being the insured or someone else, they are the best IMHO.

The guy has two little kids, a two year old and a four year old. If you have kids then you know that there's nothing you wont do to provide for them, even if that means having to ask for help which isn't always easy. I respect people who don't ask for charity because personally I never have either, but I don't look down on those that do. Different people go through different circumstances.

That's what it looks like from the photo, but the house was deemed unlivable, it's kind of hard to see from that. But there was a bunch of gun ammo stored in the garage so it just lit up instantly.

ladida 08-20-2008 07:21 AM

"Deemed unlivable" is called alot of the time when it's not necesairry, because of fear of further collapse, or shit like that, eventho everything might be in order, and usually if it was not hit gets cleared in a day or 2.

Anyway, if he had insurance, garage got hit, i really don't see the need for all this. Does everyone here have 0$ on the bank account, so that when something unexpected happens they are on the street?

Anyway, i dont care, it's just funny the mentality that seems to go around.

It looks like it, people who work in porn are poor people :1orglaugh
Anyway, I do not donate on any thread that invites to do so. It breaks up something that not even was there yet.

Vexes 08-20-2008 07:50 AM

I am stepping up to make a $5000 donation followed by $250 a week until they find a suitable place to stay, a suitable luxury vehicle to drive, and a case of smoke alarms.

I live here in vegas and I'm telling you that the shit can't be lived in by looking at the house. Yes most people have money in the bank and fire insurance, but you're saying there's never been a time in your life when you were completely strapped? I've been there and to have something happen like your house burning down during a hard time like that, with kids, is shit luck. I'm just really surprised that people can actually talk negative shit in this thread. If it was just him and his wife I would agree with you guys that they should be able to manage without any help, but we're talking about two small children.

Sarcasm right??

Why 08-20-2008 09:55 AM

insurance nevery pay the full amount untill you go back at least three times.... this i learned from a relative that is an insurance agent. sad but true.

I knew my agent for several years before he became an agent, I know his whole family and trust him, thats a lot these days

_Richard_ 08-20-2008 10:18 AM

so what was in the garage?

candyflip 08-20-2008 01:11 PM

I'd be pissed if someone took the liberty to ask for donations on my behalf.

If I'm going to take other people's money I'm going to man up and ask myself.

:2 cents:

halfpint 08-20-2008 02:41 PM

Wow sorry to hear of your misfortune and hope it all works out for you. I will send you a small donation, BTW some of you people posting on here are fucking heartless. It would be different if the boot was on the other foot and your house caught fire. Every body needs a little help once in awhile. :2 cents:
