gf killing me here.. making me feel very very bad.. shes been crying everyday.. wtf do i do

What I would say to her to shut her up for a bit in the mean time though is that all this crying and whining is unacceptable and is really making your decision easy for you. |
promise her you will call sometimes and try to stay friends :)

That SE asia stuff sounds like a good idea for next year's rainy season. :-)
Bro, don't sweat the gf stuff. That guilt trip isn't going to get better, only worse. Just explain to her that you're going off to live your life the way that she and the rest of both of your friends wish they could. Tell her that you'd like to keep hitting it while you're there and that she can visit you wherever you're living if she gets a passport and can afford the ticket. |
hehe yeah Z.. THe SE asia does sound like good idea for rainy season.. yeah shes making me feel guilty but i gotta do this.. im not gonna sit here with her in NJ.. not worth it

Tell her you are only 22...and you need to see the world. If is fated that both of you should be together, eventually you guys will be together. Woman are always like that when it comes to not being together. :thumbsup
|
Good luck with your search man. And as for the GF situation that can be a tough one. You know what they say though...If you love someone set them free, if they come back charge em rent. Do what ya gotta do because life is too short for regrets.
|
yeah... im almost set to move.. gonna have to break up with the GF.. i do feel bad though.. how do you guys leave girls that love u and not feel bad.lol

Your posts helped me alot. I am 22yrs, have the chance of a lifetime, and i am gonan take it |
Good thread.
Good luck on whatever you decide to do, but the thing is since your young and can afford it (ok you have the gf issue) and are uncomfortable with your current situation...it depends totally upon you to change that. Once again good luck and don't sell your own plans and ambitions based on other people's "needs". |
i have a flight to panama in a month..

feeling like life passing you by at 22?
holy fuck do you have some major anxiety coming when you're 38. let me tell you something. you don't know anything know. wait till 30 when your third eye opens up. you will learn so much between 30 and 35 that you'll swear you didn't know shit at 22. i speak from experience and many of my friends since childhood would tell you the same. stop worrying. just breathe. |

DO IT!
sell everything, leave it all behind, go live your life now that you're young and able to do it |

I was just thinking about this poor kid the other day.

agreed...curious what happened. bump.. |
Dude, if I were you, I'd take 3 years off and just go traveling by bus or train. Since your business is online you can update your sites remotely. Just set up a system where your checks are deposited straight to your bank account and travel. There's so much to see and experience.
|
Sorry to disappoint but things are much the same no matter where you go. Most people work during the day in every part of the world. Unless you're a millionaire you will have to work too. Different scenery, maybe different culture but its all just people, buildings, streets, etc. It might be cool if you can stay once place for a month, and then somewhere else another and so on but otherwise, you will more than likely just fall back into the same situations and routines. Just my opinion anyways. Of course I'm not saying not to do it, just that many people have such great expectations.
