If you don't like the pick you don't like the pick. Let us stop shouting from the mountain about about the foreign policy experience of governors, though. OK? |

Nice way of blurring the real data. Of everyone you listed that has been a President (not sure why you listed John Edwards) except for Obama their "state" government experience came as a Governor which is quite different than someone with 10 years of experience as a State Representative so you really shouldn't compare his "state" experience with the others. So that leaves us with his 2 or so years of "Federal" experience. Still substantially less than the others that have become President with only "Federal" experience. So that still leaves us with Obama being less "experienced" than any of the previous Presidents you mentioned. |

Are you retarded ? You're trying to run a VP against a President on qualifications ? Obama has zero foreign policy experience, zero experience approving budgets, zero experience at the federal level except for 6 months until he started running for president. Obama has zero chance and you lefties who think he does are stroking yourselves. Biden was a dumb ass pick just like Edwards was. Neither brought anything to the ticket and would be weak Presidents. I'm not a McCain fan and I'm not in the GOP so I don't want to hear any dumb ass attacks about them. There was a poll out just yesterday that showed 60% of the public identified as conservative and this is a huge disaster for Obama. Obama will get his ass kicked bad so prepare for the loss now people ! |

I can't see Obama getting less than 250 electoral votes which I would hardly call and "ass kicking" |
It's really fucking scary that every four years we have to worry about who's the next idiot to come along. Americans should demand more from their candidates and there should be some kind of competency or IQ test. This is absolutely redicuolus to have this right wing extremist, zero experinece female governor, who only met McCain twice, one step from running this country.
Palin is imply a pawn for two reasons: Her connection to big oil and to capture female votes. The funny things is, I doubt she is even knows she is being used as a pawn. I wasn't sure if Bush was right for this country at the beginning of his first term, but I am sure that McCain is NOT right for this country, which is at a very critical stage. Try to turn around the facts all you want and say Obama has zero experience but the man is a leader and highly intelligent. I feel confident that I will not have to question his judgement every single day for the next 4-8 years. |
So if he dropped dead after elected, does she become to president ?
|
:helpme:helpme:helpmeYes

And Nancy Polocy would become VP.......

I think we need someone who has never worked in government before really.
Think about it. They pass a bill about protecting children, and buried in this bill is money for a bridge in Florida and an off ramp on a freeway in Texas. This kind of shit needs to stop. I really believe that once you get elected to Congress / Senate / White House you leave your party behind and work for the common good. Not vote one way because your party tells you to. |

Here are the facts: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400629 Also for the 130 present votes while in the state gov, he also voted over 4000 times in total. Also Mccain is an old man so its very fucking important who is vp is. |

The Speaker of the House of Representatives becomes VP if the President dies. The current Speaker of the House is, Nancy Pelosi. So as it stands, Nancy Pelosi would become VP. |
Quote:
If the President dies, the VP becomes Pres, but the Speaker does not become VP. The Speaker becomes President if both the President and VP die, otherwise, the new President appoints a new VP. |

I have to agree with Tony. It drives me up a wall to think that adult webmasters in the US can actually support the republicans. Do you really care about this business? Will you give a shit if adult ceases to exist within the US? Is this just a fucking hobby to you or do you have a backup plan? Unfuckingbelievable! And to all those who would vote for her because she is a MILF, I really wish you had higher standards in choosing our leaders.
Here's a nice little article on how giddy the evangelicals are: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...M&SECTION=HOME Quote:

The State of Alaska and other interested parties are engaged in determining how best to bring North Slope gas to market. The Alaska Oil and gas Conservation Commission ("AOGCC") has a very important role in this process ? to protect the public?s interest by preventing waste and insuring greater ultimate recovery of both oil and gas. To fulfill this role, the AOGCC will decide what gas offtake rates should be allowed from Prudhoe Bay and other North Slope oilfields. Considering only the laws of science, these decisions are very simple; to prevent waste and insure a greater ultimate hydrocarbon recovery, produce all of the commercially recoverable oil in a reservoir first, and then ?blow down? its gas cap. The AOGCC recognizes, however, that many other factors will ? and should ? be considered in exercising its regulatory powers. |
Also, Alaska itself and ANWR. She's the key to the state and this will make her hubby a rich man. It's all about oil.

You do realize that under your scenario Pelosi has the same opportunity to become VP if Obama is elected. Hell, with your scenario she is already there. I am not sure that the new President could leave the spot empty. You have some reliance you can cite to back up that claim? |
Got to agree. If the VP becomes pres. then he (hopefully not she) will choose their own VP. At least that is what I believe.

Several Presidents have left the VP seat empty, after VP deaths and other things, just not normally for an entire term. I don't know if any or how long it was open, after a VP took President power, my memory isn't that good. |
