Slight correction to your post. Obama is a Marxist. Socialism is a societal model under Marxism. It is a rest stop on the way to communism.

Obama's viewpoints are almost entirely based on various far left ideologies and movements. The problem with all far left candidates is they can not articulate their plans to the masses or no one would vote for them. So their plans are veiled behind slogans and 'feel good' assumptions of their intentions.

If he is elected, which the odds are low, he will serve one term like his mentor Jimmy Carter. Over the next 2 months it will become painfully clear to the voters of the US that he is fluff and the substance is too painful to the lifestyle of most US citizens.

Let us not forget that every whack job (except for Mussolini) dictator/mass cleanser was a left wing politician. Adolf Hitler, Che Guevara/Fidel, Pol Pot, Stalin, Mao Zedong, etc. All of them started with the nationalistic pride, "Power to the People" - "si se puede (yes, we can)", and all of them ended up doing the same thing... power grabs, oppression, and mass exterminations of the "non-believers".

No, I am not saying that Obama is PolPot/Hitler.

He doesn't represent the black population of US (his roots are Muslim, not christian), he is semi-black, has a muslim father and his name is very very similar to Osama. If he wins, and most likely he will win, it will only demonstrate the power of the Media that can be exerted over the US public.

And to answer the original post, Americans don't care about what anyone says outside of the USA, only the local media matters. Those educated types, the ones that listen to NPR and the BBC, are very few.

It was mentioned weeks ago that his team was twice the size of Hillary's campaign team. Obama is a "superstar" because he has so many favors cashing in right now, he has made lots of people money. He is a media sensation, and it is all marketing.

He just added a third plane to his entourage since his acceptance speech, just for reporters. He is even stepping it up!

People have to realize its not about the candidates, its about the people they surround themselves with.

If you also recall Reagan pushed for the line item veto for this entire tenure. Why? Because of the pork laden bills being sent to him by congress. Did you forget this? It takes two branches of government to drive deficits to the moon.
