Women hate other women, but if they see another woman getting a bad rap, the sisterhood gene kicks in.

LEAVE PALIN ALONE!!!!

actually go read the christian monitor article on it and then read the comments. They arent liberals and they aren't happy with her. The most unhappy seem to be mothers.

I haven't exactly made a study of Chelsea Clinton's life, but to the best of my knowledge she hasn't done anything to merit political attack.

Of course Palin's daughter hasn't either. She got pregnant, so what?

The problem here is that the Republicans open themselves up for this kind of thing because of all their moronic "family values" crap.

Obama is to be commended for taking the high road in this instance.

Like I said, it's all about that idiotic "family values" crap. If you live in a glass house, it's never smart to go around throwing rocks.

Be that as it may, beating up on a 17 year old girl ain't cool.

Obama did the right thing by calling off the attack dogs.

She's anti-abortion. This is supposed to win over female Clinton supporters. It's akin to trying to win over Black votes by promising to repeal the Civil Rights Act. Not quite the same but you know what I mean :helpme

Ok, let's talk politics here. The news media is all over this story like flies on shit. If the dems are smart (for once) they'll just sit back and let the media do the dirty work for them.

Let's talk about reality.

Chelsea Clinton got a free pass for her whole life. Chelsea still gets the strict "hands off" treatment, even in her mid twenties, and even when campaiging for her parent --but in Palin's case, her MINOR child gets roasted as a way to get to the Mom. That's super fucked up.

Leftists sucks.

There's no comparison: Chelsea Clinton has never been pregnant, or at least her mom would've been like, ABORTIONS ARE GOOD CHELSEA!! Also, she was a lot younger when they were in the white house. And I don't remember any "hands off" treatment; there were constant jokes about how ugly she was as a tween -- I stopped watching Saturday Night Live because of that skit making fun of her. I can only imagine how bad it would've been if she behaved badly, too. It was hideous and disturbing the way people thought an awkward little girl like that was fair game because her dad was president. Still makes me want to puke.

Let's hope the media and democrats don't take the bait..this is a pure strategic move.

Ahh so it's ok to make a joke at the expense of minor child if her father is a Democrat.. However if it's at the expense of a Republicans kid it's always different..

Actually, 15 years ago when Chelsea was the same age as Bristol Palin, John McCain got up in front of a group of supporters and asked "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?", "Because her father is Janet Reno".

I have a feeling you won't be posting in this thread anymore. :thumbsup

Anybody else feeling slightly bad for the family of the boy who got her pregnant? They have to be waiting for the press camped on their steps that will eventually happen.

I could care less about if the girl became pregnant or not but if you watch this as just the sport of politics it does question the move of her appointment. Again, I don't care but what happens to the boy and his right to see the kid if she is taking her kid off to Washington. They say she will be getting married to the boy so that then means that his family will be forced to have their son shipped off to Washington too? You have to feel for that mom.

Agreed.. just like you can't go to war with a banana in hand.....even if you are able to shoot it ... it may do you no good ........ lol :thumbsup

All jokes aside....if this was Biden's daughter we would have McCain ads going on 24 hours a day.......don't know why they all of the sudden act so shocked! with the way the "media" (not Obama's campaign) is covering this stuff... :Oh crap

If she knew the kid was pregnant when she accepted, then she was willing to feed her to the wolves from start. That's why I rather think she didn't know. Otherwise she'd have to be about the most evil mother ever.

That's just politicians for you. Each side acts like the attacks from the other is above them when it really isn't. Republicans, including McCain, thrashed Chelsea Clinton when she was that same age.

One of the reasons I don't often discuss politics in the 'safe anonymity' of the internet.

Hummmm... now God is involved ...

Quote:

Speaking before the Pentecostal church, Palin painted the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord.

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
shit .. so it is true... Bush is God !!!!!
