Honest opinion, my kids could do better design with MS paint. He's never had "good" designs. It's always been first-level crap.

You do get what you pay for when it comes to design (and everything else in life). The complaint earlier, that the good designers charge more when they realize they can make more, says it all. Good designers cost more, end of story.

Just because you continuously sucker kids out of art school, or third party off shore hacks, doesn't mean you are getting a good deal. It just means you are cheap.

You are saying you want great designs to grab your customer's attention, to convert them, to make you more money... but you don't want to spend good money on good designers...

It takes money to make money. Spend the money to make a GREAT product, not a mediocre one and you will make more in the long run.

No, they aren't. Anyone with slightly better than basic knowledge of photoshop could create them in a matter of minutes.

I charge $150 / ?100 an hour for my design time, so they represent less than a half an hour's worth of work for me, which is about right. Would probably take less than a half an hour to browse fonts and make up a sheet of logos like that.
