Is Nasko (ICQ# 32517703 ) still the owner of 3pic.com?
|
Post a new Guns and Roses song on their site, then they'll end up in jail.

Drinking Hardest and the guys at GTS will know who exactly owns it but they won't likely tell you.
tube8 is one of the better tube sites. not that it's a good thing for content owners.. |
that sucks........

:1orglaugh You show your fucking ignorance when you say "not one of you do shit" I did. My newest shit ain't on there. And my old shit gets taken down everyday. And none of my future shit is gonna be there. Don't generalize stuff. Words like "none" and "all" are way too general. |

If you stole a mp3 player worth $100 from someone they would be out $100. If you distributed 1,000 copies of a album or movie that could cost the owner of the content up to 15 grand or so. It's not my content being shared but even I can see it's fucked up to run those tube sites that share illegally. I've seen that excuse for copyright infringement posted quite often at big nerdy sites such as digg. It's just a way to help them sleep better at night. |

DMCA notices DO go out sometimes, but more often than not, it's not needed. Usually the shortest and most direct path is the correct one. :2 cents: Though I'm not sure why I just justified anything to you. I'm pretty sure you are not a content producer and really have no real idea of how to deal with such issues. It's not just as easy as sending a DMCA notice. To go a step further, once you get to know some of the site owners and are cool with them, the tend to keep (I can only speak for myself here) my content off of their site. Not all of them, but a good handful are decent guys who will remove content just by asking. |

Its cool that they are cool and all about it... but, why the hell should we have to be asking them to do it in the first place? Its like someone breaks into your house, steals your TV. You track him down and tell him : Hey you stole my TV! And he returns it to you and promises never to steal your shit again. Thats fine you say!?!? No, the dude still stole your shit, that makes him a CRIMINAL. and btw, I know DWB you're not supporting this, I'm making a point, not counter-arguing what you just said. |

Let us know, oh cockless one when you have actual proof of him with the music. You know, like you can go to Tube8 and see the ... STOLEN MOVIES ON TUBE8 |
Lets say you are a pay site owner with over 100 clips in your members section...
What if someone happens to upload one or two of your full clips/vids on their Tube site but provides a link to your site at the same time, affiliated link or simply a link, would you consider this not so bad and something you could live with considering they are linking/crediting you... Mike |

So, now you know who owns this tube site, what is next? What are you going to do?

Yea, I hear you. And if I caught someone stealing my TV, I would beat them down, drag them back into the house and probably shoot them. But my place of residence is more sacred to me than the porno I create so I can't really justify beating up and capping people who steal content. lol Though I wouldn't complain if someone did. :upsidedow Until some laws are changed that are in OUR favor, this method is what I try first as it is usually the easiest and often does get the job done. The content is going to be stolen. There is no doubt about it. Newsgroups, torrents, tubes and any other file sharing network, and don't even get me started on how many of my DVDs are actually bootlegged and sold on the streets. Ugh. :Oh crap |
I feel more sorry for the people who created photoshop who have there cracked soft all over the place.

But if this were only 3 years ago...you never saw someone else's content on an unlicensed site. Please believe me. One of the things I have done in this biz is own a content company from 1998 to 2002. Back then, this was a "closed business" Everyone knew everyone and it was your ass if you had somebodies content. I didn't see the torrent thing exploding until late 2006. And now the tubes. The laws pertaining to copywritten materials are far behind what is happening in technology. We all know that. So "yes" those sites with unauthorized content ARE technically "legal". But everyone here knows right from wrong. And it's only a matter of time until the situation is rectified. In the meantime, there will be a short term money grab by people who know they are stealing and just using loopholes to cover their ass. So "no", I'm not gonna take anybody to court. Already paid a couple of lawyers too much money to look into all of that last year. And FYI, no court in the United States will ever look kindly on a porn site. Judges are elected officials and it looks good for them to stick it to us. You won't find a friendly face sitting on the bench when you bring your case in. And on top of that you put yourself on the governments' "map" when you start that kind of thing. And that is NEVER a good thing. Especially since most of us have families. What I did and what EVERYBODY needs to do is use every resource at our disposal to stop our content from being on the tubes and torrents. Once we secure our stuff and actively yank it off of the tubes and torrents...then the "problem" will be solved until the laws can catch up with technology. |

In the first example it's damage x1, and with the distribution you multiply the damage with all those who download.. Both things are bad. One is just more severe than the other. :2 cents: |
