are your sales holding up? My sales died overnight..just wondering who else is experincing the same thing

Sun, Mon saw a major dip. Tues updated TGP and started throwing some traffic at it. Sales rebounded last night. Been doing updates all week.

Definitely odd. But it's not all C4S sales. Saw it across the board.

My banners and links are still missing from my C4S store. I am about to retype my domains in text at least in the header. I actually *purchased* traffic to send directly to my C4S store and make a profit on it, so I don't think that it is exactly fair for my links to be removed.

First days of Sep were fine, last 4-5 days were the worst in the last months - across all stores we've got (appr. 10) - same traffic as always - don't know what happened. Sales at our other clip stores (not c4s) and paysites are normal - so i guess it's some c4s problem at the moment ...

it seems like they also took out the email addys I had on my stores. I had if you have a problem or there is something you would like to see email at. The email addy is gone.

Apparently ALL off site linking gone.

Linking is gone, but Image files are still allowed. That's part of the reason I have the url in my header image, and on the lead in to all my videos.

Today's a holiday of sorts, and September 11 was very slow in sales on c4s, for the past few years. I wouldn't expect anything from today, unless it's much later at night.

It'll be difficult to add an affiliate program AND keep the payout eprcentage so high. I don't see Neil cutting out his profits just to give it to people, and I don't see people taking a smaller cut, so that others cans end (what might be garbage) traffic.

Good thing I have watermarked all videos for years.

Yeah, I've always done that with my videos too.... I guess I'm going to have to switch out my animated gif clip images to the ones with the watermarks on them too.... I'm glad I thought ahead and made them all with and without the URLs on them.

The worst part of this is all my banners to my other stores are gone too.... so I'm not just losing traffic from them to my paysite.... I'm losing all my cross traffic between my stores. Sucks ass.

That's what I'm taking issue with. I send 20k a day in hit between two of my related stores, and a few thousand of those move form one to the other. The little dropdown isn't sufficient.

Not that you want to hear this, but my Hotmovies/Clips.com sales are up the last two days.

I have, and will continue to enjoy, a great deal of success with clips4sale, but I'm also smart enough to know that things change, and at some point, you are leaving money on the table. I've added other options for selling my content, and all it's done is earn me more money, and more continued success.

I threw 50k this week at the stores through promo, and it's obviously not cool to say the least. Sales are picking back up past couple of days, but still..

I think I am just going to have to build in clip platform when I get my pay sites redesigned to add in the cams and other shit. Or make a spin off.

I am glad that you are still doing well with your other avenues however. If the producers continue to get pissed off, you are going to see a mass exodus to other places like fetishvideos.com or some of these copy cats.

Assuming they have a fair split, and do not piss off producers.

I just read through our license agreement and there is no mention of giving license to use your clips content on hotmovies.com or any of our vod sites. If anyone would like to take a look at our agreement, please email me. Or just write in if you have any questions.

We encourage our clips.com providers to add their legally owned and varifiable content to our hotmovies.com for an increase in exposure as well as profits, but it is hardly mandetory.

We haven't changed our terms of service since day one. I have a feeling that you may be confusing us with another clips site. We just want providers that have have legit content to have an avenue to make as much money as they can. I think that the clips model has unlimited potential and that's why I keep pushing ahead with it.

New providers are joining the site and adding new content every day. I'm always available to answer any concerns, so if something in our contract confuses you, please feel free to contact me directly.

Obviously if everything was 'peachy' at the time I had read your contract, and the percentages were mutually beneficial. Then I would have signed up. I am not going to leave money on the table for a fair offer any more than the next guy. It's common fucking sense.

When time allows, I will look at your site, percentages for payout, and traffic again compared to other clip stores, and networks. If I have confusion, then I will discuss it at that time.

That's a pretty vague answer. Who or what is "reviewing or something" the site? Back any day now, I hope.

My best guess is that one of their processors were doing a review. They have multiple one's to make sure business doesn't stop. They have added in some new clips cash, or whatever recently.

But could be anything. He did not seem worried.

They probably wouldn't wanna start a panic.

Years ago, I think it was 2005, they had their processing knocked out over PETA and bug crushing sites. PETA was on a rampage, and was knocking out the processors of any company that had crushing of bugs, animals, and so forth. (C4S was not only company effected. At that time I had B-H-E for some sites, and they had gotten notice as well)

But I agree, more information, especially after the 48 hours, would have been appropriate.

They have more than one processor. So I doubt it.

But anything could be possible.
