I've known people in SH suffering shit like heart attacks that get driven to OTHER hospitals... just to avoid going there...

Burns are bad, very damn bad. Rather know someone fell off a cliff or got hit by a vehicle and was in critical instead of being burnt and even in stable condition. Figured this out very quickly after doing a period of time in a burn center where I was just being kept for some other surgery.

I hope they have him in a burn center by now or can transfer him to one asap. Helps a great deal to get burn victims into a sterile environment as quickly as possible.

People have a tendency to come here and share both happy and sad events. For many those we work with and surround ourselves with each day talking to, yes even on a message board. Become an outlet of sorts, where you can ask for advice, share your thoughts, and generally be open.

As for getting off her and going to see... What the fuck is he supposed to do? Odds and typical procedure would dictate that his partner is in a induced coma to help prevent the pain and assist in healing. He is also in critical condition which is not some place that you can just go visit. Specially with burn patients as the biggest threat to them is infection and is why they limit exposure to as much as possible and typically keep them in a sterile environment with even limited contact from doctors and nurses.

Speaking as a lifetime boater I can tell you it is just so imperative to use your engine room blowers during fueling, and at least 10 minutes after, prior to trying to start your engines. Gas fumes are the most explosive stuff around.
