You'd be surprised. I went shopping with the girlfriend a few weeks ago and she was looking for a new dress to wear at a wedding and they average cost at your typical mall store was 130-210. They didn't look expensive or anything, clothes for women are expensive but at 150,000, its kinda a slap in the face to most people who are lucky if their homes are still worth that much these days.

If I also recall when I bought my sister a pair for her birthday, the average pair of Jimmy Choo shoes was about 700.00. Some higher and some lower. Still crazy expensive for a damn pair of shoes but that is not much in comparison to the topic at hand and also not really related. Just like few would really care what McCains wife is wearing since we all know she is loaded and can buy it herself and does.

$150 is fairly cheap for a nice dress. Most women have a few in their closet.

The issue shouldn't be that she spent it, it should be that she spent it with donations. There are a ton of smaller races throughout the country that isn't getting any funding and she needs $150k in outfits and a $20k a month makeup artist.
