49 good polls+ 1 fucked up poll= 50 polls

Virtually all other polls show Obama with a substantial lead...

Here's a few electoral vote polls...
Obama 353, McCain 185 -- http://www.electoral-vote.com/
Obama 364, McCain 174 -- http://www.intrade.com/
Obama 350, McCain 188 -- http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Obama 364, McCain 174 -- http://election.princeton.edu/

Meanwhile, Gallup shows Obama increasing his lead with Likely voters
http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx
Obama 52% McCain 41% -- Registered Voters
Obama 52% McCain 42% -- Likely (expanded)
Obama 52% McCain 42% -- Likely (traditional)

Zogby is like Fox, it's always right leaning.

All these polls are way off too. They poll people with landlines. How many people still have land lines anymore? Good lord it's 2008.

This thing is gonna be a landslide. Just watch once the east coast polls close. If either NC or Virginia go Obama, might as well stop watching.

Obama has a speech and over 100,000 come to see him, Mac has a speech and they hold it at a high school gymnasium and half of them are brought in. :1orglaugh

This thread is an example of what happens when you start to buy Matt Drudge's bullshit. The thread creator actually copied and pasted directly from Drudge.

Millions of heads are going to explode....all readers of the Drudge Report. Because if you rely on the Drudge Report for the narrative of this Presidential election you would think that Obama was going to jail for voter fraud, all Obama supporters are delusional racists (52% of the voting country by last count), and that McCain was going to come back and win by a landslide.

You're going to get a strong dose of reality come November 4th.

It is harder for him if McCain wins and actually does a good job. IF he has nothing to complain about, he has nothing to sell.

Hannity and the like have had plenty to do these last 8 years defending Bush's fuck ups.

You DO realize that Drudge is nothing but a linklist right?
the link on Drudge goes right to the Zogby website.. not some page authored by or on Drudge.

and right on the Zogby page linked...
"Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%."

So.... where exactly is the Drudge "bullshit" you're referring to?

Its easy, if you can't dispute the news, dispute the source. Diversion works. :winkwink:

Brujah 11-01-2008 02:53 PM

Drudge is a link list but he still has his own captions and bias. I like checking his site myself.

You have to really take polls with a grain of salt, since they take a sample of anywhere between 900 to 2,500 people.

126 million people were registered to vote in the 2004 election.

The only thing I will believe is when I see the man standing on January 20, 2009, giving his inaugural address.

If you enjoy polls, you should check out realclearpolitics.com - they take results from 11 different sources, including FoxNews, GWU, and Zogby. Overall, they suggest Obama is "ahead" by 6.6 points.

That being said...polls are asinine :)

Yeah, but it's much more fun attacking the other guy than it is defending your guy when he fucks up.

I can remember listening to Limbaugh when Clinton was in and Limbaugh sounded happier than a pig in slop.

It's not badly thought out at all. For the most part they really are one and the same except that the phrase NASCAR fans includes urban Archie Bunker types as well.

These are the same people that Palin's referring to when she talks about Joe Six-Pack.

Whoops!

I meant to say NASCAR voter, not NASCAR fan.

Clearly, not all NASCAR fans are like this guy.

You do realize that Matt Drudge is an ultra conservative (also homosexual...ironically) registered Republican?

Drudge may be just a link list but one quick look on his page and you can see what kind of narrative he is painting. If you don't think Matt Drudge is serving up bullshit to the masses and trying to skew media and public perception then you need to have your head reexamined.

There are dozens of polls that show Obama with a high single digit to a double digit lead. He only chooses to post the one from Zogby. No wait...he had Gallup on his front page when it was within 2...but no that its back up around 7-8 he quickly pulled it.

If you honestly believe that Matt Drudge doesn't have a bias in the links to the stories he posts then you too are truly delusional. Enjoy your wake up surprise on November 4th.

I do too...but I'm well aware of what I'm actually looking at. It's dangerous to those who do not. Some of the shit he tries to pull is disgusting. Pictures of white women in Obama t-shirts, and pictures of Obama kissing white women for absolutely no reason other then having pictures of Obama kissing white women. Not to mention the Ashley Todd faux beating story that he pushed on to the mainstream media.

Not sure why his bias or non bias makes a difference on linking to a national polling company.

And we'll see on the election. Thats a time will tell kind of thing lol. :winkwink:

We will see who wins on Tuesday. Polls don't mean shit. Congrats to whoever wins on Tuesday and has to try to fix this country.

I used to think zogby was god but he got 2004 wrong. and I think this year he is off by more. he doesnt do well when larger percentages of the population are on cell only.

hes good at polling soccer moms and nascar dads and joe six pack. and joe plumbers.

Um because if you want to make a poll say what you want it to say you poll people that are going to give you the results you want. Also like peole say too many pollinglaces use POTS lines ot base polls. 25% of the population use CELL ONLY. Most of those people tend to vote democrat. I'm sure on tuesday many exit polls will show McCain close or leading and they will be wrong because the polsters will not take into account early voting with HEAVILY favored Obama. So common sense would tell you McCain would get more votes on election day or at least come close to Obamas totals for that day.
