That's one day of tracking, there's a reason they post a 3 or 4 day moving average in tracking polls....and even then they fluctuate wildly.
The latest cspan/zogby/reuters poll (through 10/31) has Obama up 5. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsO...34134020081101 |

NASCAR voters are another word for trailer trash that votes Republican, because they don't like no liberal around there. Liberals want to take their guns!
Personally I say all these polls are BS.. So many people have voip phones these days (I know I used to install them) and cell phones that the traditional polls just aren't that accurate anymore IMHO. I know I haven't had a land line phone in about 10 years. Most younger voters have cell phones and they never get polled. |

These kids are too busy playing their Wiis to participate in things that don't matter. They will however be there to vote because they are afraid of the Republicans in a bad way. And see their friends going to Iraq and dying. It affects them. :2 cents: |

ABOUT NASCAR The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. (NASCAR), celebrating 60 years in 2008, is the sanctioning body for one of North America's premier sports. NASCAR is the No. 1 spectator sport -- holding 17 of the top 20 highest-attended sporting events in the U.S., and is the No. 2-rated regular season sport on television. NASCAR races are broadcast in more than 150 countries and in more than 30 languages. NASCAR fans are the most brand-loyal in all of sports, and as a result more Fortune 500 companies participate in NASCAR than any other sport. NASCAR consists of three national series (the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series), four regional series, and one local grassroots series, as well as two international series. NASCAR sanctions more than 1,200 races at 100 tracks in more than 30 U.S. states, Canada and Mexico. Based in Daytona Beach (Fla.), NASCAR has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Charlotte (N.C.), Concord (N.C.), Conover (N.C.), Bentonville (Ark.), Mexico City, and Toronto. |

personally i can't wait for this to be over..

Zogby's pretty smart.. the results fluctuate so wildly he doesn't have to worry about how wrong the poll is after the election.
|
49 good polls+ 1 fucked up poll= 50 polls
Virtually all other polls show Obama with a substantial lead... Here's a few electoral vote polls... Obama 353, McCain 185 -- http://www.electoral-vote.com/ Obama 364, McCain 174 -- http://www.intrade.com/ Obama 350, McCain 188 -- http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/ Obama 364, McCain 174 -- http://election.princeton.edu/ Meanwhile, Gallup shows Obama increasing his lead with Likely voters http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx Obama 52% McCain 41% -- Registered Voters Obama 52% McCain 42% -- Likely (expanded) Obama 52% McCain 42% -- Likely (traditional) |
Zogby is like Fox, it's always right leaning.
All these polls are way off too. They poll people with landlines. How many people still have land lines anymore? Good lord it's 2008. This thing is gonna be a landslide. Just watch once the east coast polls close. If either NC or Virginia go Obama, might as well stop watching. Obama has a speech and over 100,000 come to see him, Mac has a speech and they hold it at a high school gymnasium and half of them are brought in. :1orglaugh |

This thread is an example of what happens when you start to buy Matt Drudge's bullshit. The thread creator actually copied and pasted directly from Drudge.
Millions of heads are going to explode....all readers of the Drudge Report. Because if you rely on the Drudge Report for the narrative of this Presidential election you would think that Obama was going to jail for voter fraud, all Obama supporters are delusional racists (52% of the voting country by last count), and that McCain was going to come back and win by a landslide. You're going to get a strong dose of reality come November 4th. |

the link on Drudge goes right to the Zogby website.. not some page authored by or on Drudge. and right on the Zogby page linked... "Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%." So.... where exactly is the Drudge "bullshit" you're referring to? |

Drudge is a link list but he still has his own captions and bias. I like checking his site myself.

You have to really take polls with a grain of salt, since they take a sample of anywhere between 900 to 2,500 people.
126 million people were registered to vote in the 2004 election. The only thing I will believe is when I see the man standing on January 20, 2009, giving his inaugural address. |

That being said...polls are asinine :) |

Whoops!
I meant to say NASCAR voter, not NASCAR fan. Clearly, not all NASCAR fans are like this guy. http://www.all4humor.com/images/files/Nascar%20Fan.jpg |

Drudge may be just a link list but one quick look on his page and you can see what kind of narrative he is painting. If you don't think Matt Drudge is serving up bullshit to the masses and trying to skew media and public perception then you need to have your head reexamined. There are dozens of polls that show Obama with a high single digit to a double digit lead. He only chooses to post the one from Zogby. No wait...he had Gallup on his front page when it was within 2...but no that its back up around 7-8 he quickly pulled it. |
