fitty fags fighting for freedom
|
I have never been more disappointed and embarrassed to be a California native. I understand Arizona and Florida..but come on California, what the fuck?
I thought people love America 'cause of freedom and all that bullshit. Guess no one believes in the 14th Amendment, or has an extremely peculiar definition of "equal": Quote:

I really don't understand how making your personal relationship legally binding equals "freedom". Seems quite the opposite to me.

Im so disappointed in my fellow Californians. I honestly did not expect this to pass.

This is just a sad news. Why not be a pro-choice on this just like Obama.
|
Why not polygamy? Civil unions seem like a fine idea to me. If i were gay I'd be quite fine with that, and knowing that I am living in a country that doesn't hang me or view me as a complete degenerate I'd be willing to accept the social norms of marriage as they are.

I could hear the protests all night from my windows. It was rad hearing all the screaming and horns blowing for a great cause. I would even get texts from friends marching telling me they were walking by my house.

It's so upsetting that people can be so easily swayed at the mention of "protecting our children." I don't remember learning anything in school about the subject of marriage at all - but I certainly remember learning about equal rights and tolerance.
Teaching children (by banning gay marriage) that gays should not have equal rights as everyone else, then also teaching them to treat them equally and tolerantly is hypocritical and confusing. I'm very disappointed that parents in Cali bought into the bullshit and could be so ignorant as to teach their kids to discriminate. It's really sad:(:(:( http://promo.topchoicecash.com/files/2/helen.png |

the religious right targeted black and hispanic votes who voted would have normally stayed home but came to the polls to support obama, even though their views were normally conservative. i haven't seen the law but does it also ban civil unions because if it doesn't such a ban is a true balance between a homosexual couple right to be in a committed union and the right for religious groups not to forced to reject their biblical teaching. forcing gay marriage on those relgious individual would be the same as forcing jews to eat pork. |
Getting married is the best thing I ever did.
