My traffic has jumped big time. Most of my jump in traffic came from Google. The traffic jump though hasn't made me more but just the same.

Sorry to tell you but I had one of the best days of the year today.

I was just about to post a thread about your same topic. I can't believe how hard it is now to make sales. My sales have dropped 75% with the same traffic. I got 1 sale today out of 10k hits.

Well everything was shitty this month, sales down, ppc have some low bids. One thing is good and that is my traffic has increased

Past 2 days have been awful... I checked my sites to see if something was up. Checked CC processing too. All looked ok... I would say the economy but its been shit for awhile. The market IMO was way crazy this week so maybe that...

There is some truth to that too. :pimp All those sites that I used to make a killing on you can now find the entire members areas for free on torrents and illegitimate tube sites.

The sites that sell now for me are the smaller guys who are shooting stuff outside of porn valley with girls who aren't oversaturated and are taking measures to protect their content from being put out there for free everywhere.

Then once a site has it's content under control...THEN you can put stuff out for tube sites (yes, long clips included), but you can do it under your own conditions and terms...which is exactly what I'm preparing now.

So anybody that is an affiliate of mine that would like some nice 5 and 6 minute flv clips please contact me. I'm ready to roll on that phase now.

Times like these you have to focus on getting quality traffic and growing the traffic you're getting. Then it may or may not make sales, but if it doesn't it's because everyone else isn't making any sales either. Then when it picks up you'll have all that traffic that now suddenly is converting and things will pick up again.

You can't change the economy to make people buy but at least you can put yourself in a position that when the economy does change you can benefit.

The worst thing you can do is quit but I guess there is always a point where if you're not making any money you still need to eat.

yes, the problem is that before we were able to make sales because if the surfer wanted video, he had to join the site... now they get video right away, for free, and lots of it, so that they can surf around the tubes for a few minutes and find something to get off on and then they are done getting off....... pulling out a credit card is a ridiculous idea in their minds :2 cents:

You're right, we changed our business model in January to allow customers to buy girls one by one instead of trying to get them to subscribe. We're ending up making much more this way but it became more difficult to compare with other programs.

Most affiliates will only talk about conversion ratios, but it's not accurate if the price paid per new client change all the time. With the signup model evolving, it's better to talk about how much you make per click sent. The detailed stats of our top 100 affiliates is public, you can check it out here: http://www2.totemcash.com/free/statistics.php (clikc on the "+" to unfold daily stats). Top guy made $14k with 100k clicks sent, that's about $0.13 per click. #100 affiliate made $337 sending us 4757 clicks, that's still $0.07 per click.

It's a softcore product so it does not work on all traffic, but you should calculate how much you make per click with your current sponsors, it's always interesting and might push you to start building softcore traffic.

The problem with threads like these is that you can't get honest answers from most people.
90% of the posters here are program owners, program reps, or sigwhores who are going to say their program (or the program that's paying them) is doing awesome....even if sales are down by 70% or something like that.

Sales are shit for sure....but I think it's the economy more than it is the tubes. Sure the tubes hurt...but if your ratios are going to shit and you're making less money on the same traffic, then it's more likely the economy.
If tubes were the problem it wouldn't affect your ratios, because those surfers aren't going to click an ad for a paysite.

The last days were terrible indeed, I'm sending about the same ammount daily (~ 12k uniques all sponsors combined) and the last days I barely made more than 2 sales a day overall. It sucks...it's sucks alot. :helpme

Switch sponsors, not everyone is doing horribly.

Honestly, when looking at my stats some niche sponsors still do pretty well, but compared to a year ago it's still a significant change.

I don't care if a program is going up overall (no offense, but that's not my business) because of new traffic sources, new affiliates, etc. I only care for my ratios, for the perspective of a single affiliate, and more traffic and less sales simply means things are becoming worse.

Switching sponsors and pushing new sites isn't a solution when the underlying real cause and problem persists.

free content is everywhere.. . AND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT TUBES...

but extreme-board.com, planetsuzy or tooziq.com have any complete adult site you can tell... any site you want, you get their content for FREE for download at those forums, via rapidshare links..., for download for free.. and those forums have 10 times more active online users than GFY.com at any hour of the day...
