deceptive and false.. two different things. You can google. Its no secret that corporate america targets children to sell their garbage..its not only McDonalds.

If you have kids and can't keep from taking them to McDonald's because they saw a commercial then look at yourself for the blame. And what false or deceptive advertising have they done?

yeah ok.. keep slinging useless rhetoric. I do have kids..from adults to young ones. No, I do not make it a habit of taking them to McD's because its garbage. But once that child starts hanging out with their friends and go to fast food places without my approval..there is little I can do but to lock them in a cage.

I have found several articles online where McDonalds were made to change the way they advertise because they were deceptive. Here is just one. Dont have time to do a bunch of research just to prove to you that corporate America targets children to sell their shit and McDonalds is a cesspool. You should be aware, you are smart..right?

Happy Meals are not for kids that are old enough to hang out at McDonald's and go without their parent's permission.

Your link was entertaining.

I didnt say that happy meals were for older kids..did I?

Glad you were entertained, although I doubt you bothered reading it. Fact.... McDonalds was legally made to change their deceptive practices. You asked for one example and I gave it to you.

I hope you eat that shit...lol

Are you being deliberately obtuse or what? You act like you're living on another planet and have never heard McDonald's try to pass their shit off as "healthy". Anyone living in this universe should be able to at least concede that them using that word at all to describe anything within their walls is laughable, at best.

And YOU are calling ME limited? Jesus. You're too stupid and lazy to make a few tiny connections and take a little bit of effort to figure out that just because the word "tranny" is my sig line that I'm not one.

Thanks for the reminder that I must have my head straight up my ass for assuming that you have the capacity for higher level thinking. Dead wrong, I was.

This thread is making me hungry for nuggets and floppy cheeseburgers.

I know! I mean, if you couldn't just take what people leave out in the open I wouldn't have a car to drive. Nitwits who leave their keys in the visor are just ASKING for it. Why should I be held responsible for someone else's negligence?

Wait a second . . .

I said that to see how you would respond and it was typical and ignoring of the comparison.

Shit happens, you forget something somewhere, you address it as soon as you are aware, you make contact, business says, "We got it... We will hold it for you." Where in ANY of that did it make it okay for his phone to be looked through? Were in ANY of that did it make it okay for images to be removed from his phone? Were in ANY of that did it make it okay to post those images on the web?

Obviously not everyone is as "Perfect" as you, but that certainly does not mean a wrong wasn't comitted here. And if you don't think there was I am not sure what that says about you.

Sorry couldnt respond sooner was on the road after shooting for 2 days.all this talk of mcd's made me stop at one on the way home and it was tasteless as i remember.
I was wrong about it not being stealing. i was posting between waiting for models not 100 percent in the moment. im far from perfect i have lost eyeglasses, montblanc pens. for the past 4 yrs i travel out of state for 70 percent of my shoots. i have never left behind sensitive material be it tapes, compact flashes, model releases etc. if i was carrying a phone full of stuff i didnt want anyone to see i would be very aware of it at all times. as far as suing mcdees, first it might not of been a mcd employee could of been a customer, it might not of happened at mcd at all. posting pics could be someone looking for kicks.posting pics and full name and address is someone who has an agenda possibly someone who hacked his phone or it was a set up to try and get money out of mcd's.
think about it, that happens to you is your reaction to sue mcdees for 3 mil?
as far as my opinions this is a msg board and that's what happens on it be it right or wrong or something you agree or disagree with.im sorry if i upset you didnt mean to.

Frys is cool - they have tons of computer parts cheap. Only place in town you
can actually see a server case in person before buying it. I'll take Fry's.

Honestly McDonald's does not cause people problems. Putting toys in a meal is not why parents go there. They go there when they either do not want to cook or do not have time cook. You can also get healtier food there. When I eat there I get a yogurt parfait and a fish sandwich plain. Many people are unhealthy because of their poor food choices. That is not any fast food chains fault.

I used to talk smack about McDonald's, but they have gotten a lot better.
I get their fruit and yogurt parfait. Their new whole wheat bun thing on
my wife's chicken sandwich is really good bread. (She can't eat bread or
anything made with flour, so I eat the top bun). That's once every couple
of months when we stop there. Unlike some parents I know, who tell their
two year old "do you want Burger KIng? Do what I said now and we'll go
get Burger King", we won't be taking our kids there more than a few times
per year at most. Yes, the parents I know who bribe their kid with Burger
King are obese and their two year old is obese. Strangely, I live near a
McDonald's and I Wendy's and my wife and I are thin - because we behave
like grown ups and make our own decision not to super size it three times
a day.

I'm not surprised to hear people tear into McDonald's. Some people think
it's the companies selling us stuff who should monitor our consumption of
it and make sure we're healthy, while other people think individuals are
responsible for our own decisions. What's strange as heck to me is that
most people who blame the sellers for over consumption think pornographers
are responsible for at least much bad as McDonald's, creating all of these
perverts, damaging marriages, keeping people at home spending money
whacking off all the time instead of getting out into life. That's ridiculous,
of course, your customers are basically responsible for their own decisions
and have to monitor their own consumption of porn, not way over doing it.
We all realize that, I think. Can you not see that you are responsible for
choosing how much to eat and what to eat just as much as your customer
is responsible for choosing how much time to spend on your site and which
site they want to go to?

You didn't upset me... and I agree that suing McDonalds for millions is ridiculous but it isn't surprising in this sue happy "ME" generation. What got me was it appeared you didn't think a wrong was committed and my writing comes off more aggressive than it really is.

Hope you trip went well... :thumbsup

Vicious_B 11-24-2008 06:45 AM

They will sue and it will either settle for a large amount or they will win. Remember when McDonalds was sued because there coffee was hot! That was a ridiculous law suit and the guy won!

Sarah_Jayne 11-24-2008 06:48 AM

If I had forgotten my purse behind and I called and was told they would keep it safe and then I turned up to find that an employee had gone through it not just to check for an ID to confirm it was mine but to look at all my pictures, maybe try out some of my make up, etc then I would be upset.

Now, I get that if that sort of messing around in my property was done by somebody who found it and then gave it to the employees then it isn't their fault. However, if it was done by one of the staff then it is, if nothing else, highly inappropriate.

Same deal with the phone. If it is an employee deciding it was okay to go through everything on my phone then that should be a firing if nothing else.
