I don't see the behaviour from the 60's to be the same as what I am talking about. The anti-war demonstrations, civil rights marches, etc. are what we seem to be lacking these days as you pointed out the couped up, obese, video game playing, MTV watching youth are to lazy to bother themselves with anything outside their reality TV lives.

Anyway, if it's true, it's interesting that as we've been morally decaying for thousands of years, we've at least been advancing technologically in that time.

Which poses an interesting notion... Do they both go hand in hand? Does technology advance moral decay or does moral decay advance technology or is it what technology is USED for and applied too?

DaddyHalbucks 11-25-2008 02:33 PM

Wow, that was incredibly callous.

BSleazy 11-25-2008 02:36 PM

If you've ever been in a wreck. Especially one that serious you would know they could of been just stunned and in shock. The ordering of food is the fucked up part though.

bloggingseo 11-25-2008 02:38 PM

This is honestly just a sad commentary. Not all youths are like that. These kids were obviously disgusting and had no morals.

digitaldivas 11-25-2008 03:09 PM

yes that is tragic indeed

Exactly why the WEREN'T in shock. You don't call up friends and order food to be delivered to you if you are in shock. A person in shock isn't even using that part of the brain that would allow for that type of behaviour.

Just because a car is not registered does not mean the driver caused the crash.
Just because a driver is "disqualified" does not mean they caused the crash.
Obstructing police is not a moving violation.

i would like to see what you would have to say if your daughter was in the car struck by the kids and they just stood around and watched and ordered takeout.. :2 cents:

dav3 11-25-2008 03:20 PM

I blame Hollywood and MTV.

2012 11-25-2008 03:26 PM

I hear they're looking for another judge at Guantanamo, you'd be perfect

Ok, so they were in a wreck. They cant legally leave, but bodies still need food. They are teenagers, not paramedics, you expect them to drag injured old people out of a car? No, you arent supposed to do that it could make injuries worse, professionals do that shit.

Are people mad they werent crying and upset? Well most likely they were in shock from the car accident.

real life has become entertainment. You usually get a pizza when you rent a movie :2 cents:
If I just killed somebody the last thing I'm going to do is order a pizza ( or whatever ) is your brain so washed out you can't see that ? Maybe that's how things are now, I'm just behind the times ...

You do not call friends and order food when you are in shock. Are you really that thick. In my previous career I saw shock many many times and the brain centers available to people in shock do NOT lend to the behaviour these teens showed.

I don't care who was at fault but from the sound of the reports those kids did absolutely nothing. Didn't see if anyone was ok. Didn't call for help. But they DID call friends to bring them some food. Hell the driver even got himself arrested. Yeah, sounds like the did ALL the right things in this situation.

See avatar...

LOL he would of freak the fuck out for sure... but we all know the old man can only think in a rudimentary logical way, let's certainly not ask him to show any trace of character with feelings.

He is an old biker that still use is badass nickname from then 60's, we must respect that :1orglaugh

Darkland 11-25-2008 06:12 PM

Okay, here is an update for all you siding with the teens...

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,,24709181-29277,00.html

"Police yesterday charged one teenager with dangeous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, unlicensed driving and driving an unregistered vehicle..."

"The 18-year-old was also charged with two counts of dangerous driving, two counts of evading police, two counts of unlicensed driving and two counts of unregistered vehicle relating to incidents the day before the fatal smash."

Now what you got to say?

You are obviously much more intelligent than he.

Poindexterity 11-25-2008 06:14 PM

"Broadbeach police Sergeant Brendon O'Reilly said the Subaru and its owner were known to police - the vehicle had been impounded for 48 hours on November 13 in relation to hooning offences."

what the fuck is a hooning offence?

I have to agree with Baddog on this one ... proof theories completely throw out that the kids were absolutely the ones who caused the wreck.
