smartest thing I have read in gfy in the last year.

I stopped looking at conversions. New trend is to satisfy clients (they aren't numbers).
And go from there. And it works, you'll see...

Not sure where you shop for all the stuff you buy in every day life but if I were to find any hidden costs I sure as shit would be kicking up a shit storm about them.

When I buy a new car I pay for what I want. When I buy groceries I don't have things added to my cart without me or my girlfriend adding them. When I buy clothes, I don't let them throw in matching items unless I want them. I chose what I buy and when I buy it. You can't really be telling me that you pay for hidden extras every day in life now can you?? I thought you were smarter than that.

OH NO you don't! LOL! Both of my brothers are car salesmen. If you think you walk out of a dealership without paying THOUSANDS of dollars more than you have to, then you are a bit misinformed. You better go back to your car dealer and start kicking up that shit storm now. Except you won't know what to raise hell about because the costs are hidden, and they aren't stupid enough to point out what you got overcharged for...that wouldn't make them any money.

See the salesmen make their money off of commission and they get a nice percentage off fo the "product" that they sell you as does the finance manager you sat with in the office to conclude the deal.

Car sales are VERY detailed in how they work. Everything is planned out from the moment you drive onto the lot to the time you walk out smiling with a new car. And yes, you spent thousands more than what was neccessary. Everybody does. It's how they do business.

Not saying that crazy x-sells are good. Just saying, that you are wrong about things you buy everyday. I can't speak for other businesses. But I can for new car sales. And for used car sales which is a different monster. And also for boat sales at a marina as one of my brothers left car sales and bought a marina where he can "whack" you even better. Standard practice in high dollar retail. Just a different method of doing it.

In the end..a Good Deal is when both sides are happy and THINK they got a "good deal" Kinda hard to have customer satisfaction if I as an affiliate started telling my surfers that they some sites will screw them. That leads to overall suspicion. Just like retail sales will NEVER reveal business practices to the general public.

This threads a laugher. Some are doing bad some are doing well. It all depends on what you know and how much you work. I could be doing better but Ive been on vacation for 5 years now. :)

What "favor" lol I just pointed out a fact. Others are coming on here and over dramatizing. There isn't anything to "manipulate in my favor" Just stating a fact. High dollar retail is highly specialized and they make their money in ways you don't see, that's a fact. Nothing more nothing less.

I bought my last BMW from my girlfriends uncle who is General Manager at the local BMW garage. I got my car with a few grand knocked off sticker. I was prepared to pay that. The price I agreed with him is the price I paid. He didn't try to make me take warranties or whatever coz I already had one. He didn't try put a service deal on top, he didn't bullshit me in any way at all. Yes I probably made them a nice profit but he's not gonna sell it to me at cost. He needs to earn money.

At the end of the day I walked away with a car that was sitting on the forecourt a few grand more expensive than what I paid. I was happy. How the hell you can compare that to a guy signing up for a $1 trial to a porn site and finding $120 on his credit card come the end of the month. You might know the car business and I'm not gonna argue with you about that, but by the sounds of it you certainly dont know how a surfer feels when they find they paid 120 times more for something.

Imagine I signed a deal for my new BMW and eventually paid millions for it? See where I'm going? Yes car dealers make profits, but so what.. I know the final price I pay for my car and I'm happy with that. Surfers don't know the final price they will pay for their subscription.

What you did was known in the car business as having a "car lawyer" Your girlfriends' uncle. When I bought my Prowler I did it without my brother's help. I ended up paying about 15 GRAND too much including warranties that I didn't need. Of course they rooked me all the way.

The vehicles I bought after were in this order: A 2003 Harley Truck, a 2004 Harley Truck, a 2005 Hummer SUT, A 2007 Corvette, and a 2008 Solstice. Now THOSE I had one of my brothers go into the dealership with me. And I walked away with those vehicles with what most people would consider a "steal" because I had my "car lawyer" One of my brothers is a finance manager at Ford and he knows every trick.

And I didn't compare a person spending THOUSANDS more than they should for a car to a person spending one dollar for a trial and $30 if they ignore the emails AND the support phone number on their card statement AND the support pages of the sites themselves.

You're right...it's not even close.

And I do agree...the surfers SHOULD know what they are paying. And as far as I know...they all do. If they didn't pay attention, then they will see that charge on their card and then it should be easy to get their money back OR maybe even stay a member of the x-sold site (imagine that)

Now, when people start fucking you over when you TRY to cancel or get your money back...that's when they step over the line.

Thank god for sponsors like AEBN VOD for long term money instead of short term money.
