Every day.
|
I just got through with "Marketing to the Affluent" by Dan Kennedy, because I got tired of marketing to the broke-asses.
There is a lot of crap out there, but if you sort through it all, there is tremendous wisdom, sometimes an 80 year old man took 80 year4s to learn powerful life lessons, and its exciting that you can read a book in 10 hours, and save 80 years of heartache. I love reading the wisdom of others! Joe |
I read every chance I get. I can go through 2 books a week.

I never was big on fiction or non-fiction literature, but I absolutely love a good how-to book or tutorial. Doesn't matter what the subject matter is just so long as it teaches me how to do something.
That's why I seriously love ebooks. There are lot of them, and most of them are instructional. :) |
I've read no more than 15 books cover-to-cover in my life. Reading has always been difficult for me. I'm still a slow reader but I read about things that interest me (95% non-fiction).
I own a bookshelf full of books that I purchased in the last 2 years and I've gone through five thus far. At my reading pace, it's nearly a lifetime worth of books lol My own shortcomings in reading and writing have given me a high regard for the written word and the masters of language. |
Usually reading 2 or more at the same time. Bio's, history, technical, fiction or anything else that catches my interest.
|
I try to get a book done a week depending on size. Currently reading Breaking the Seal by Daniel Dennett. Usually rotate between a science book, history/biography book, and then a fiction book. Seems to keep me on my toes.
Besides Amazon, check out your local used bookstore, can find really cheap deals on good books. |

Yes and like Sands typically how to books. Though I do and have read a lot of fiction.
Currently have a stack of 5 books - same subject that I am reading. Already finished 3 others in that subject. Parts have repetition but I figure hell it is faster and cheaper than going to school for it. |

I used to devour books when I was younger. Then I had kids.. so much for that.
Now I usually have one in my car that I'm working on and I read it when I'm waiting somewhere. I usually have a couple waiting for when I finish that one. I did read a couple recently at night to get myself out of my home office (My computer haunts me and calls my name at night). If I read at night I'll end up staying up most of the night doing so. |
Not much this days.

Wow I'm surprised by this thread.
Didn't expect that so many GFY'ers are reading regularly. :upsidedow |
I love to read.. in the past few weeks I have been reading the Twilight Saga and it is amazing.
I have finished Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and am now on Breaking Dawn. Kick ass books!!:thumbsup |

uh, does audiobooks count?
|
Every day - mostly science fiction for pleasure, and various kinds of history, science, and business books for mind expansion.
But I also spend at least an hour a day reading on the net, which cuts into my reading time, so I go thru physical books slower than I used to. |

I used to read a lot back in the days, till my father bought me a PC :1orglaugh
|
I read on average of 1 book every two weeks.
Just finished the two books " the Far Pavilions " |
You're talking about reading like its something people used to do back in the olden-timey days, when we didn't have new-fangled inventions like the internets. Most people still read books, because reading webpages sucks.
|
I started reading books about 2 years ago. Can't seem to get enough. About all kinds of issues. I read like 20 books a year now.
The reason I started reading books is that I found the right place & time to read them: "on the toilet". The rest of the time I am busy with other stuff and have notime(!) or patience to read it (or get distracted by TV or something else) |
