Suing someone over $5K, who's located somewhere else in the world to boot, would probably end up costing much more than it could potentially recover. Not to mention that, apparently, there was no signed contract involved. Even if perry, by some miracle, would be able to track him down, sue him and win, he'd likely never be able to collect shit.

Exactly, looks as though Jens was willing to sell his rep for 5k knowing that there was very little probability that Perry could do anything to him legally since he's in another country.
