Why not just buy a PS3?

Haven't got a Blu-Ray player yet as it's low on my priority list at the moment.

I still won't get a PS3 as I already have a 360 so I don't need a game console,
They STILL cost $399 while many stand alone players of equal quality on the Blu-Ray side
are selling for under $250 and Their price continues to drop. Lastly the PS3 won't work with
a universal remote unless I buy an extra gadget for the PS3 which adds more to the PS3 costs.

In the beginning of Blu-Ray the PS3 was hands down the best deal. Now, not so much :winkwink:

jim interestingly enough that hdtv signal you got over the air is higher quality than the one you will get via cable

So true. Those who are lucky enough to live in a metropolitan area that can pick up Over the air HD signals should try it out. OTA signals are pumped out full strength.. much more bitrate than the choked signals pushed down cable/satellite services.

Sunday Night Football on NBC, SuperBowl.. all the "free" telecasts, those are the primetime OTA signals I miss watching.

Besides the brilliant image in HD, is the documentary interesting? Or just for the HD viewing?

Quite amazing actually... 5 years of continuous filming allowed them to capture events in nature which no one has ever seen, much less filmed before.

It's even worth watching even if you had a crummy tv to see it on... it's that well done.
