Gotta add my 2 cents here.
Never done biz with Baddog but have spoken with him numerous times. I'd wager my left nut that you won't find a more stand-up guy in this, or any other business. He spends countless hours on charity organizations. I've never hosted with him, but he's helped me with hosting issues, without ever soliciting gotwebhost. Sure he has opinions, who the fuck here doesn't? I've never kept track but in the few posts I've put here, he's probably bashed me in most of them. It's funny the ones that sling the most shit here never show up at the events or tradeshows. Either they are underage, they don't have 10 cents to their name, or they are so fucking obese or just plain too ugly to show their face. Anyone can make shitloads of money and think they have "class". Problem is you can't buy "class", it comes from the inside. Whatever you say about Baddog and no matter how big an asshole he is with his opinions :-), Baddog has class and values that you haters can only wish to someday have. BAD DOG = GOOD MAN :2 cents: |

I dont think there is anything wrong with the kind of business baddog runs.
I personally dont like him, and think he should stop pretending to know anything but the basic of SEO work (wich is all he need to know, so i dont know why he pretendes) BUT - He provide a valuable service. People who want to host directly with firstline provider, will never go to a place like his site anyway. A lot of people do need someone to be the middleman and make sure the sites are running and the supportickets get replied to as promiced in the SLA. I never thought I would find myself supporting baddog after all the bullshit he have written about me, but I'll be dammed if I'm gonna let people just sit there and say stuff about him and his company that is simple neither fair or true. It have never really been a secret what kind of service it was he sold, but there is no need to brag about it, because that only educated the competition Call him old, fool or whatever, but stick to the truth |
Baddog and I have know each other for many years. He even called me out years ago when I was out of line. He speaks his mind and backs up what he says. I am looking forward to hanging out with him like old times next week at AEE and Internext.
Unlike some I seen with high post counts that are all not really in the business but professional posters...He's the real deal and will always tell you where he stands. |

Just my two cents.
Tried to work with the guy, he was a complete robot and anti-business. Asked many questions, he pushed me to sign up for answers. I did sign up, and continued to ask questions, got nothing but robotic answers and nothing constructive. People who can't email or talk on the phone and hide behind "support tickets" are completely useless without personal skills. I was constructive the entire time I should add. To top it off, he wrapped up a report of one of my domains with a 3rd party program and pawned it off as his own, saying people pay $500 for this service, which is where I knew this was a joke. Claimed he gave enough SEO advice when none was given other than the third party report. Complete waste of time for everyone involved. |

This is not baddog fault. Anyone that knows me knows I will not discuss issues on the phone. My hearing is not the greatest and it is much easier to work over email. I'm sorry you had to insist on phone consultation. I have never given anyone phone consultation, always through email and I have had no complaints about it.

I've hung out with Baddog on a couple of occasions at a few industry events over the years...even though he never seems to remember me whenever I see him, he is always very cool to me.
