it all depends... did the previous companies go out of business? did the person have personal differences with the owners? there are tons of reasons...

just in case, put them on commission to begin with ;)

Sucks pr0, hopefully whoever sees this and takes care of whatever.

BradM 01-07-2009 09:07 AM

I trust a very tight knit group in this business with anything over $250 in transactions. Yes that sounds low but people are willing to say a lot of BS to get very little money. I've been doing this way too long to get fucked over by anyone. I've lost over $12,000 in scams before I put the clamp on everything.

And I would NEVER trust an industry douche who has gotten FIRED. It's almost impossible to lose a job in this industry unless you suck total sack.

There are a acceptable reasons why someone might have 3 or more jobs in this industry.

-Length of time in industry
-Position in industry
-Reasons for leaving previous companies

It tends to be obvious when you're dealing with someone who has jumped companies because it lets them get away with not actually producing anything versus someone who has jumped companies for legitimate reasons.

I've been with exactly 4 companies in my 10 years in this business and my track record is completely positive.

-I left company#1 after 2 years of service to start my own business.
-I sold my shares in company #2 after 3 years of service.
-I worked for company #3 on a consulting basis and left when my project ended.
-I've been with company #4 for 4 years and counting.

I know this thread was meant to be an annoyance to one person in particular, but I've heard this echoed before and wanted to throw in my 2 cents. :)

TDF 01-07-2009 09:30 AM

im one non lazy negro

TheAmericanCannibal 01-07-2009 09:33 AM

Shit- I have had over 20 jobs in this biz

And I still get it done.
How many jobs doesn't really show failure on the part of the employee, in most cases it was the company that FAILED ME.

So don't always look at it as a negative when someone tells you they have had several jobs-look at it this way....

They are more well rounded.

I think pr0 was talking about people who got fired from jobs not just left them.

Marcus Aurelius 01-07-2009 10:14 AM

Bump for the pr0

PornMD 01-07-2009 10:16 AM

My brother has had maybe 30 jobs...and he can still get jobs easily even though he's been fired from or abruptly quitted probably 20 of those jobs. Yes he has computer tech skills but I still don't understand it.

Z 01-07-2009 10:30 AM

Pr0, if you're back at the partying and you don't finally get on a fuckin' plane down here, you and me gonna go round and round.

Get a passport, get your fuckin' ass on a plane and come the fuck down here.

It's gorgeous outside, the beach is calling, the bitches are calling and well shit man, you know the rest. ;)

***Please forgive the cursing in my rant above as Pr0's many broken "bro I'm comin" promises have torn asunder the spot where my heart used to be***

kmanrox 01-07-2009 10:32 AM

i'd say that's not necessarily a bad thing... imagine all the good tips and knowledge they extracted from each of those previous jobs.

Z 01-07-2009 10:37 AM

Oh ya, and to put my comments back on the track in this thread....

I had 1 jobs and 2 partnerships in the biz before I stepped out on my own. Though I always had a little something personal going.

Nothing wrong with somebody's whose had a few gigs, as long as they did well at them and their reputation, not their "broputation" or their "fuckedemtation", but their real, "we do/have done business" reputation is solid with solid people.

You talking about that guy with the name that starts with R.

Lance69 01-07-2009 12:19 PM

Hope things get worked out guys... I know for a fact there was lots of rope given and a helping hand extended to avoid this.

JamesK 01-07-2009 12:26 PM

Spill the dirt! It's time for some action.

Varius 01-07-2009 01:03 PM

Well I know who you mean and for this time seems it got resolved yesterday (for this time), but still I told our mutual friends I can see it happening again and again (have told them my opinion on it since the start actually)...

As for the changing jobs topic, you really have to take each case individually. Even if someone wasn't fired, why did they change jobs? Was it the fact they kept jumping at the next 1$/hour more job offer that came there way? If so, chances are high they will do the same thing to you...do they get with a company just to learn some 'secrets' then try and go do it on their own, fail, then get another job and try to repeat? Again chances are they will try that with you too...and so on :2 cents:

pr0 01-07-2009 01:14 PM

I wish to be very clear once again....

Someone that has been FIRED from 3 or more jobs in this industry

I've got nothing against "well-seasoned" veterans who have had several jobs.

Phoenix 01-07-2009 01:15 PM

some people leave for more money..or where they worked treated them like assholes..while they are making those assholes mega bucks..lol

so...keep it in mind people when looking to hire

i see your post above mine now...got it :)

You'll get no argument from me on that one.
It's more about the people who I believe in sometimes.

It's hard not to get jaded when there are so many people who are so full of shit.

Sorry to hear of your woe, Pr0. Sucks ass when you work with someone expecting the same good faith and productivity you put into a job and they fall way short and burn the bridge in the process.

One thing about this industry tho, people like this don't go very far and karma tends to happen... its just a matter of time. See you for sushi in Vegas?:winkwink:
