You're a model, right? Simple example of promotion: Post a few pictures of yourself on /b/ (anonymously, duh), asking who the hell that model is and where you can find "moar". Someone might answer, but ignore them. Answer yourself (anonymously again, duh), along with some more pictures, a link to your site, and links to a gallery or two. Use the right words, and it's an easy bit of traffic. Slightly less simple example: Do as above, only now reply in the thread with something along the lines "hai guise. op, that's me. lol" (hi guys. to the original poster: that's me. haha). People will not believe you. Tease them a bit (post some pics), then finally present them with proof: a few timestamped pics featuring you with a shoe on your head, for example. Adult model turns out to be btard, too: epic. More hits than in example before. Give the impression that you're a geek, too, and that you prefer geeky guys: a few dozen dedicated fans, instantly. These are just some simple examples, and ones that shouldn't be done exactly as I described them. However, take a more elaborate approach, and a quality model can easily gain a few hundred followers spreading the word. Simple examples that have already been done: "The Dating Game". Person suggests game: everyone signs up for a dating site, includes information signifying they're a btard, hooks up with each other. Hundreds of lonely guys = $500+ in a single hour. (as featured on blackhatworld - done to death by now) "The Revenge Site". Site describing a guy who wants revenge on his girlfriend, includes pictures, for every 10 hits a visitor sends through his own personal link code (no sign up needed), a new picture of the girlfriend is revealed. Hundreds of horny guys = tens of thousands of hits. (as spammed everywhere these days - done to death as well) "Advice Needed". Spammer: "sup /b/? I need some fappage. anyone got sites featuring very uncommon fetish X?". Spammer, later in the thread: "site X is awesome for that stuff". Spammer again, yet later in that thread: "holy shit! I think I broke my dick fapping to that!". Result: a bit of extremely viral traffic. (again, done to death) Obviously, you shouldn't use these examples - they've been done so much they don't work anymore. Instead, come up with new things. A key aspect of 4chan traffic is that it's extremely viral. That means that if you have something good, they will send the link on to (many) others and post it on message boards, social networks, etc. In the case of a model looking for traffic, that could mean a simple separate site featuring a few very strange photoshoots (strange as in humorous/uncommon, not extreme). If it is entertaining, it will become a source of traffic. |
