I think it goes way further than Obama. I think people needed hope and change and it's exactly what Obama represents in the rest of the planet's eye.
This being said, on his day to day job, I don't think people expect him to change the bad economy, war, unemployement, etc over night. But now, at least there's hope for Americans and for everyone else living on this Earth. It can make a difference. Never underestimate the power of hope and remember that your reality is very different from the reality of someone living in the Middle East, Afrika or south america. We (I'm Canadian) don't really know what REAL POVERTY is. |
What a fucking great movie this was

i havent even paid attention to the obama worship since he won election, i totally tuned politics out after that.
But i can only imagine its bad, they had local parade here for MLK and I swear, youd think Obama was riding in it and that he was MLK and Lincoln! heheheh |

Always amazes me how people think their lives will just get better all of a sudden...

people are fucking stupid... always following the hype of the moment by masses. This whole circus just shows you how sheep-like human beings really are, its pathetic.

I think the enthusiastic energy is great for the country overall. A couple of million people turned out.. unlike Bush where the court gave it to him and they had to take an alternate route because the motorcade was being pelted with eggs.
All in all.. I'll take some sickly sweet enthusiasm over 4 more years of dirt and busted egg. :thumbsup Also, I've only seen such adoration on tv. Nobody in real-life shall we say. Just chalk it up to the camera being on you going out live and they're asking you in that leading way "what do you think of Obama". Like supporting your local team only when they're in the playoffs. If they turn the camera on you, you're not going to be the stick in the mud that says "big deal". No way. |
See my sig and buy my domains .. mkay? Obama told me they are worth millions

I have no idea where people get the notion that Obama supporters think things
will change over night. Especially since a large number of his supporters already waited 300+ years for a change. It's just sour grapes. It's just loser mentality. Have a nice time being miserable over the next 4 years while reasonable people are going to try and be happy and work for change. The sour rapes will be the loafers among the rest of us just complaining and complaing and moping. I'm going to ride the wave of excitement and laugh at those who chose to drown in their bitterness. |
