Brazzers uses tubesites for traffic? What is so bad about that? You are using their content without proper permission for personal gain, and complaining that they noticed you about it asking you to stop, and you have a problem with that?

WTF?

You are a content thief... and a whiner.:321GFY

Reak AGV 01-23-2009 10:18 AM

Simply remove it, and its done.

seeandsee 01-23-2009 10:23 AM

hahahaha good stuff :)

Fletch XXX 01-23-2009 10:24 AM

i still dont see how linking a video or image online can constitute YOu becoming the thief. Simply linking an existing image or movie online somehow doesnt compute to theft imho... persuade me?

I am not supportive of content stealing, however, isnt this the same shit tgps have said forever?

"we are not responsible for the content on the pages we link to?"

Just curious, if this guy really just linking an mpg somewhere, sure its hotlinking, but that doesnt mean content stealing... (up for dialog but not name calling and ignorant chatter)

If they hated the video so much, they could e-mail megarotic. Oh wait, they are megarotic's big advertiser...

So you run a forum and you post videos from other illegal places and don't support the companies that making the content? that about right?

Tube sites full of unlicensed content. Thats what makes it funny.

If I link to your content in such a way that you don't get proper branding, and/or if I use your bandwidth/hosting to convey that content in such a way that you don't get any benefit from it and my traffic/audience gets all the reward for which they are willing to pay me and not you for the privilege of accessing more content then what would you call that? Maybe not "theft" per se, but does "fraud" work for you?

Bottom line for me though is that in this case Brazzers as owners of the content are asking him not to do what he is doing and he should respect that. It is their content and they can protect and distribute it as they see fit. To tell them in so many words "F-off" makes it seem all the more abusive and a wonton disregard for some elses intellectual property.

In the USA embedding videos on your site that you don't have the right to use is still illegal. I believe there was a case about some guy embeding family guy vids on his site that got in some shit recently. He got in quite a bit of trouble too I think.

Although this is funny if brazzers really does own the tube site so many people say they do...

I understand, but if his infraction is in the form of a forum, how is that any different than people posting pics and movies here on gfy?

Content is hotlinked EVERYDAY from gfy, yet none of you come bring ? up then... I am just curious how this differs in any way from gfy and hotlinking content from here?

GFY makes a lot of money, and some would say, a portion of that could in fact be made possible by the amount of copied news articles (drama) and hotlinked images and movies (from the web) often in the form of someone elses created images and definitely someone elses hosting bill...

hopefully you understand my curiosity, as I surely understand your side.

If the variable which makes this a crime is profit, well,... look around.

I still don't see the irony. Just because Brazzers is putting content on tubesites doesn't make them the ones putting up unlicensed content.

I don't know which tubesites Brazzers owns but I do know that for the most part every tubesite we have ever caught with our content has been willing to take the clips down with one polite notice. In some cases we have even been able to get tubes to start taking our branded clips and work with us as affiliates. Better to make a friend than an enemy. Better to earn a dollar than spend 100g on attorneys I always say.

it's common knowledge they own pornhub, keezmovies etc.

I don't want to come off like a hard ass... I just am one of the guys that gets to throw some stones in this case because I wouldn't hotlink to something without getting permission first. For example, I sent Playboy a letter asking if I could link to a cover of a 1976 copy of the magazine that I was rambling about on a blog. When I didn't hear back in time I just didn't use it. Didn't make me happy but oh well.

Ok. I guess I am a dumbass that doesn't deserve to even be in this industry because I had the great misfortune not to know that. Boy, I think I am just going to go back to being in gang bang videos for $25 bucks per pop shot.

I suck.

I know you've been around adult for a long long time, but you're coming off as completely clueless to what's going on currently. Brazzers has multiple very high traffic tubes that they themselves fill with tons of copyrighted content they don't have the rights to, hence the irony of this thread. In fact, I've come across your content multiple times on their sites. Let me know how they respond to your "polite messages" for removal.

collegeboobies 01-23-2009 12:02 PM

This is teh internets... you can link to whatever you want.

then you got every right to say the things you do heheh

however, most people on this forum will quickly hotlink something that is not on their servers and gfy keeps rakin in the dough.

i am guilty as well, i hotlink screenshots from hollywood movies, etc... forums tend to cause people to do that. Surfers or webmasters...

You have proof that they specifically and not their surfer audience are putting up those clips?

BTW, they have taken our stuff off in every case that I have reported. And now my clueless self is going to hit them up to see if we can work a deal. Being in this biz a long, long time has taught me that working toward mutually beneficial solutions is way better than being in protracted legal battles.

Basically it works like this:

Big Porn Company A figures out people like free 30+ minute long movies.

Big Porn Company A downloads Porn Company B, C, D, E, F, etc's DVDs and episodes, puts them on a tube.

Then Big Porn Company A puts banners up for it's sites on the tubes.

Then Big Porn Company A puts on huge promos, and defends it's own videos copyrights.

I'm pretty sure of one thing he is doing - probably paying about 5 times more for his hosting than he needs to!

Several years ago when the ACA/ACMA regs first came in there was a simple loophole that you could use in the event of a complaint and enforcement notice: move your hosting offshore...

Boy, that sure'n iz spelld owt n ezy 2 reded werds.

Now can you explain how you happen to know for a fact that Brazzers was actually uploading stolen content itself. I can understand people griping about not having content removed fast enough or at all but that might have as much to do with them not following the removal process correctly. And if I don't have all the facts then I am not about to take sides or cast judgement in any way. How stupid is that?

xxxjay 01-23-2009 05:13 PM

Has anyone tried www.removemycontent.com? They do an excellent job with torrents and such...they are starting to go after tubes now. We just started using them and are quite happy.

I'm not sure what's safe to post around here these days, but if you are truly interested to see why people are so sure that Brazzers themselves are doing it, hit me up via email and I will email you some screen caps and info. It's pretty clear cut.

Yep, I was going to lay it all out for him how I know for a fact what they have been doing for a while now, but decided some things are better left off the boards.

Very true, most likely both would happen as the bro force is strong with Brazzers, although its been steadily weakening as some are finally waking up to how they've been negatively impacting our industry.
