As nice as that would be you and I know in Canada we'd never get away with it... For anyone who thinks the iRS is evil should tangle with Canada Revenue (I know you have). they are FUCkers!!

Glad to hear things are going well for you Nicole. Once you hit bottom the only way to go from there is up!

I'm surprised they didn't just levy your bank accounts etc... How did you get away with them not levying you or seizing any assets for so long?

When you owe over 25k the IRS will want you to fill in a collection statement and will want to know things like how much you spend on food per month, gas, bills, everything...

just curious if u had to fill these things out.. cause um... i kinda owe them some money right now too :(

I wonder how the IRS measures up the Revenue Canada... they are utter insufferable cocksmokers up here

I've paid close to $100k in taxes the past 6 months (from previous year) and they still making threats to come after me if I'm late on future payments (I was complacent last year and was late paying whats owed)

Nothing more excrutiating than dealing with a civil servant with a chip on their shoulder and power trip issues

I don't know how they compare but the irs don't mess around.

If you don't pay they will levy your accounts and seize your assets or even worse put you in jail like they did to pornstar Janine. She's on a whole other level tho, she owed like 300k and was still buying new houses and expensive cars etc

I havent heard of the irs making threats to come after citizens if they get behind on future payments but i do know that if u are on an installment plan u have to pay everything on time including the taxes for the year too.

I'm curious how much more effective a third party company such as JK Harris is in making an offer in compromise vs doing it yourself directly with the IRS?
