Imagine how silly anyone would sound saying " I make 30 times what you do therefor i am obviously always right and nobody can have an opinion because i am so rich " but hey what do i care i might make more than you do in a month every day and then that would make everything you say useless and wrong:winkwink: |

This is what pr reps are for heh , you hate when they respond but the drama ends so quickly.
PR RESPONSE ( by smokey) This issue is complicated , when you run a successfull online business you run into issues like trademarks, there are many "trademark sharks" that will take advantage of businesses who ignore things like "protecting your trademark" when twisty's originally filed for trademark , we did so because a "trademark shark" tried trademarking our site name sextube of sextube.com We did this to "protect our investment" , part of "protecting a trademark" is enforcing cases of infrignement, this simply cant be done on a case by case basis. in order to "protect your trademark" it is essential you don't selectively enforce the rules or you can jeopordize your trademark and risk losing it. While we at twisty's welcome the competition and would hate to see an innocent site with no ill intentions bear the brunt of our trademark enforcemnt , we cant risk losing our trademark to be "fair". We will try to work with hardsextube.com to come with a fair solution without risking our trademark. twistys pr |

What makes them worthless is sitting on gfy all day looking for shit to start. Not having the balls to say who they are or what they run. Hiding behind a nick that protects their identity. That is what makes them worthless. Anybody who is busting there ass working hard trying to make a living. I have 100% respect for and I'm always willing to help out in anyway I can. |
Calling people nobodies who think what you're doing is unethical... is really bad.
I"m not a nobody... I"m someone with a few shreds of business ethics left inside of myself... and I think that if you go after everyone who is a keywordsextube.com ... you're being a dick... You've turned into a corporate sized beast... I know plenty of people who wouldn't even think to see if it's trademarked or CARE what's on sextube.com ... they'd buy theirnichesextube.com .... and not even think twice.. and run an honest business that has zero to do with you.. And I think if you go after all of them.. that makes you an asshole... But calling people nobodies for having a personal opinion on the issue is uncalled for. Not all of us are in millionaire status with lawyers waiting at the helm.. but we do work 24/7 just the same. |

You don't think that plays any part of it? I mean.. I'm sure there are dickheads who post a ton who are real assholes.. But there are also just regular ol' porno webmasters.. who don't get into the drama or backstory.. who stop and read what you write.. and are like. WTF... What you're saying may be spot on for the true, idiot, assholes to read... But you have to own that a few people came at you.. are coming at you.. because your words are very reminiscent of corporate spinning and bullshit. Like you've forgot where you've came from.. except when you want to remind people of your hard work. As an outsider who doesn't do shows.. who doesn't chat with anyone... who just works and reads GFY.. I can tell you that reading the way you handled shit a YEAR ago.. and reading the way you handle it now.. two very different things on different offensive/assholish levels. |

I understand your thoughts. Which is why (Like I said in an earlier post) we've decided to get another opinion and talk to someone who knows more about domain disputes than just about anyone. Our goal has always been to protect SexTube.com and to protect our Trademark "SexTube". We aren't out to ruin people's sites or lives we are just going to protect what is ours. |
Cool so you made more money then all of us yesterday, yet you still feel the need to take shitty little domains/sites with the words gaytube & sextube in them. Are you just sooo baller that you dont want to steal traffic generated by these sites that just type in "sex tube" when looking for similar sites?
Every time someone builds another sextube or gaytube that that makes that many more surfers looking for these terms... terms that people have been searching for well before you put your sites together. Are you simply afraid that by not enforcing your TM, someone will just take sextube.com? This would never happen, unless Google showed up, but Google can take just down about any internet company now if they feel like it. I've been on gfy for over 3 years and managed barely over 700 posts, yet did 25-35 yesterday just because I own domains. You aren't trying to "steal" other peoples domains like SexTube, you are trying to "protect your interests". But both of these outcomes you want to be the same. |

I've always been open and always tried to keep that connection with all webmasters regardless of size. I've admitted when I'm wrong. I've explained why I made the decisions I did. I didn't have to do that but I did. No matter what I do or say we still get attacked. The bigger we get the more we get attacked. So over the past year with every attack I've become less and less tolerant. You can say I've become more of a dick or asshole. It's probably because every time we are hit with drama I realize how much time it takes up, how much energy it drains from me and how absolutely insignificant it is to our bottomline. It changes nothing. Traffic, sales and business are as usual this week. I haven't lost a single hit, lost a single sale, lost a single anything. Yet I've been exhausted and stressed out of my mind trying to make this situation right. Today it just hit me. Fuck it. Fuck trying to make it right. The only thing I'm going to do is make as much money as I possibly can. That is why I'm in this business. To get as rich as I possibly can. Then retire and live life like I never dreamed I would. |
You are facing no threats to gaytube or sextube. You keep behaving like there is some vast conspiracy to steal your domains Shap, yet it is YOU who is trying to steal our domains

Also, that is just the beginning... first sextube & gaytube... then whats next? The pornotube.com guys? the porntube guys? the freeporn.com guys? every freakin domain that isn't lksjdfs.com? Its the principle of what is happening I have a problem with, it sets a standard.
Just like the first cross sale is fine, the second cross sale is fine, and then some jack ass starts hiding xsales on joins forms... then guys just start running lists of CCs |

Shap my brotha' - you can't explain shit to people who don't want to listen and at least "try" to understand. The more successful you get, the more haters will come out of the woodwork to try and destroy you. Why? Because your relevant, because your successful and because they are jealous not to be in your shoes. Don't let them get to ya' man......that's what you used to say to me when my jealous haters would attack me over silly bullshit. So I'm tell'n ya....don't let them get to ya'. Turn off the computer and go play with your little boy and enjoy some of your success :winkwink:
By the way - I shot Ryan Keely for you today - the video is hot, hot fugg'n hot! It's going out tomorrow for Friday delivery! :thumbsup |
Once again, generic terms... I don't know how trademark offices work, but as google trends shows it was an accepted term for "porn videos" well before the trademark went through. But I'm off, 'night
|
are they going after these too?
yousextube.com firstsextube.com enjoysextube.com thesextubesite.com naughtysextube.com sextube-video.com thefreesextube.com asextube.com homemadesextube.com momsextube.com newsextube.org sextubedirectory.com grannysextube.net onesextube.com maturesextube.net flashsextube.com hornysextube.com There's thousands of registered domains and active websites with sextube in the url.. :2 cents: If this was about protecting a mark, why aren't they going after sextube.org? Maybe because it has no rank, serp, alexa or traffic? :2 cents: What about sextube.biz ? :2 cents: How about going after the tens of thousands of torrent pages with sextube as the pages title and meta description not to mention several thousands of scraper pages with sextube in it, or the millions of urls with sextube.com in the url such as somedomain.com/dir/dir/sextube or somedomain.com/dir/dir/sextube.com |

Only "you" are to blame for what you are doing no one else. You seemed to keep things honest for several years and seemed like you made pretty good money doing it. Yet in this last year or you have turned to shit supporting illegal tubes sites and now trying to steal others websites. I hope the extra money you have made is worth it, but that damn greed is a bitch isn't it? |
