No, but I guess you can say the Porsche driver was a lot better at steering than the Ferrari driver.

JustDaveXxx 03-11-2009 03:04 PM

Charles was an ambassador for MMA. He supported MMA back in the dark ages, when it was being banned State to State. He sponsored and helped keep food on fighter's tables so they could chase their dream. His passing is a massive blow to MMA, it's fighters and fans.

Rest in peace.

What he said

Exactly what i think !

You people are weird !
No wonder all the religions and all the fucktards willing to crash airplanes into towers :Oh crap

Like for him "it's ok to do it" ?
A "bail out" so to speak ?
He's a star, don't touch him :disgust

Ok back to work now.

hypedough 03-11-2009 04:38 PM

He was racing a guy, you automatically should know you can end up in jail, killing yourself, and other people. He took that risk and it ended horribly. Someone with that much where-with-all should've known better. Sucks he leaves a family behind, but no one should be racing their fancy car with other macho morons on the streets.

Spunky 03-11-2009 04:44 PM

Damn, that is so erie watching the flashing hazard lights on a car ripped in 2.what a way to go .RIP :(

Why?

Racing on public streets, he could've easily killed someone else instead of himself. Recklessly endangering innocent bystanders deserves zero respect.

brassmonkey 03-11-2009 04:52 PM

live in the fast lane and die in it 2

David! 03-11-2009 05:44 PM

No pity for a retard who not only endangers his own life but also the life of innocent bystanders.
A pure example of Darwinism at its finest.

notoldschool 03-11-2009 05:48 PM

PornMD 03-11-2009 09:35 PM

Jeez - not a good news day:

http://www.nametrader.com/topstories.jpg

And RIP to the guy but honestly, he's probably better off dead than if he killed someone else due to the racing and lived...I'd like to see how much compassion people would be showing him then.

doridori 03-11-2009 09:36 PM

damn that sucks. why not just go to a fucking track. its safer.

also @ the car....man $300,000 and it smashes like that....he must've been going really fast.

acctman 03-11-2009 10:10 PM

i always thought guys who show off speeding with females (or anyone) in a car are tools. why risk the life of someone else just to be cool.

qwe 03-11-2009 10:56 PM

he was probably going like at least 120 miles/hour for car to split like that...

He had a much cooler car than me. He's also dead.

seeric 03-12-2009 12:15 AM

lots of people interviewed on the news talked about how much he helped other people. very cool. tons of big bad ass grown men crying. dude just made a bad mistake.

one thing to note and well, i hate to be the one to say it, but the guy in the porshe was drunk that he was racing. it was very late at night. where were they coming from? had he been drinking? did they know each other? met in the parking lot at a bar? mask was chasing him for some reason? still lots of questions to ask. the guy that lived is totally fucked. i hope the girl recovers.

such a senseless loss of life just to show off and go probably 4 times the legal speed limit for that road. that road is a 45 mph limit the news said i believe.

there will be a toxicology report released soon i am sure. i hope they run the results and the answers to lots of questions that people want to know.

pocketkangaroo 03-12-2009 12:23 AM

Good guy or not, he put innocent people at risk by his fun and games. He showed zero disregard for the health and safety of others. While it's always sad to see someone die, perhaps it's better that he isn't around to continue doing this and eventually killing an innocent family. What he did is no different than walking into a mall with a gun and randomly shooting in all directions.

For sure, he was a stellar human being.. fuck anyone who says otherwise.

Yes he made a terrible mistake, but everyone does.. only a few pay for it.

Charles "Mask" and Danny were the owners and co founders. Danny is the character "Punk ass".

I actually know the details on who owns what, but this is not the time or the place to discuss it. I been in BJJ for 18 years and have known Charles and Danny for 12+ years.

Its been a tough day for me and a bunch of my BJJ and MMA friends.

I watched Charles leave his Job as a San Bernideno sherif to start Tap Out. These guys would live in a van for 2 weeks at a time traveling to BJJ tournaments and cage fights on Indian reservations across the USA. MMA was banned across the USA and these guys still supported what was thought to be a dying sport at the time. They sold shirts and passed out free stickers one at a time for 8 years before they started reaping the rewards for there hard work.

I remember when Charles and Danny had nothing and got offered 2 million for their company and Charles said "fuck you Tap Out is not for sale". at that time it wasn't worth shit and people thought he was stupid for not selling. He explained to me it would be like giving up his child. I didnt get it back then, but i do understand now.

The marketing of 'Tap Out" is one of the best grass roots marketing campaigns for clothing ever done. they had no money and dick for capital. Just a dream and a serious will to make Tap Out the MMA industry standard.

The way have made it, and way deserve their successes.

Charles and and Danny were the kindest nicest guys that never forgot where they came from. For the longest time they would only support American fighters, because there was no company that was backing american fighters. Hunter, Bad Boy, Krugans, Atama, and a few others were all companies. America had Tap Out.

When i used to compete, I wore HCK, Tap Out, Globe shoes, and Serial Killer (RIP Matt Macafee, owner of Serial Killer clothing)

People who know, KNOW!!

RIP Charles Lewis AKA "MASK" I and the MMA world thank you for your support:thumbsup

Man, back in the day Dave it was only Tapout! Before the poseurs took it to a whole new level. Whenever you saw another guy wearing Tapout, you KNEW he trained, or at the minumum a fan of MMA/BJJ. I remember that Van in 2003 at a WEC, with the side panels and Mask hanging out the side selling his gear. Charles paved the way for Triumph United, Sprawl, 62Gear, and many many others. It was a good thing to see them all paying their respects on the underground.

This pretty much sums his whole life, and he said this to a friend on the underground.

"I've failed at a lot of things in my life....but I've also failed to quit". Charles "Mask" Lewis R.I.P

Doctor Dre 03-12-2009 06:21 AM

The guy is an ambasador in the sport, he was selling t shirts in parking lots and sponsoring up and comming fighters.

Lol?

The guy was incredibly intelligent and a solid character all the way around,

everyone does stupid shit in their life.. only few pay such terrible consequences.

It's part of being human, no one is infallible.
