Well, Satan was once Gods favorite and the sin he made was Pride. Having pride in himself, in his favor from God over others. Thought he was too good to be with the others anymore. So he was cast down for being a prideful arrogant jerk and not appreciating things properly.

And those others can be women and children worshiping the same God and Savior as you. And as far back as telling people to go kill the people in this land, because God has given it you. Atheism is no different than any organized religion, in that you are putting your faith in something that you do not know for a fact is true. You don't know that there is no god any more than a religious wacko knows that there is one. All anyone can do is speculate, and that is what you are doing.

As for not believing in Buddha, Siddhārtha Gautama was a real person and a philosopher, his life is not exactly up to interpretation of whether or not you believe in him. Use your head...
