As Tony pointed out earlier......the new system in Tampa is a perfect fit for Cutler. The old one focused on 3-4 yard passes, which is a total waste of Cutler's cannon arm. The new O spreads things out and looks to create mis-matches down the field.

Gimme a fucking break.

How about the fact that Miami would have been 6-10 instead of 10-6 for alot of those years without Marino, especially late in his career.

Simple fact is remove a couple of Favres late seasons, have him retire a few years ago and he's way higher on everybody's lists of top QB's. He greatly harmed his legacy in his later years and that insane collapse with the Jets and the divorce with the pack.

You can't cherry pick parts of a guy's career to call him the greatest of all time. That's total bullshit.
Also, if he retired a few years ago, then he wouldn't have broken any of Marino's records....records that took Favre alot more games/attempts to do than Marino did.

So far with what the new guys did to the Cowboys I have some hope with them. I don't like some of the cuts they made but overall they seem to be making solid trades and cut some cap space in some ways that for the most part made sense. I expected some form of major free agent but maybe they want to model themselves like the Packers did and grow with inhouse talent.

Hey at least you know it can't get any worse. Although really if the owner wasn't such a cheapskate he would have brought in all new front office staff. He just didn't want to pay all those guys for not working like he has to do with Marinelli and Millen.

He'll get paid regardless. McDaniels is fuck, plain and simple. He's going to fuck that team up and be hated there in two years.

They made some huge mistakes. Most QB's are crybabies, just part of the job.
.

Well you've obviously chosen sides....since you've passed judgement on a coach who hasn't coached his first game yet, and praised a QB because "he busted his ass to show he was a top QB".....as if he was supposed to do something else for the $48 million contract he got?
As if he hasn't been playing for his next contract since he got there. Oh he just selflessly busted his ass and now the big bad broncos don't want him anymore. Cry me a river.

If you could be a little more objective you'd see that this was a carefully orchestrated thing by Cutler and his agent...who have been trying to get out of Denver ever since Shannahan and Jeremy Bates were let go.....and the trade discussions about Cassell were just his excuse for publicly lobbying for a trade.
McDaniels only considered the trade BECAUSE Cutler had already told the Broncos he wanted out of there.

The rest of it is just theater. :2 cents:

You have your mind made up as well it seems

Broncos fucked up huge. Cutler will have less talented WRs wherever he lands but I would want to leave too if they fucked me like that. Of the 6 teams displaying interest only Detroit (Calvin) has a stud WR.

Cutler is a fucking cannon. they need to just chill out in the organization they picked up Dawkins and should help clear up SOME of their D probs, without the O they are nothing.

I agree. I was devastated when they fired Shanahan. Now this. It seems like the have destroyed a great franchise in like 8 weeks of stupidity. :(

Fucking please. Favre isnt even in the top 10 and he has the record for the most interceptions. Elway, Unitas, Bradshaw, Marino, Montana, now those were QB's.

As far as the Broncos, they traded their 2nd best QB in franchise history for an arrogant no track record punk of a coach.

Owner 04-01-2009 07:14 PM

he just got traded to the Bucs for a first round pic

Loch 04-01-2009 07:16 PM

One pick? That's it?

Talk about assraped by the Bucs if that's true.

I think so. This is the only thing I could find on it, posted 7 hours ago though. No mention of anything else about it on nfl.com that I could find.

I agree with the guy that wrote the article though, that Denver would definitely covet getting the 49'ers 10th round pick for Cutler. I won't quibble over it if he goes to Tampa or Detroit though.

Or to the Jets. :D

They have to get more than just a 1st round pick for him. Otherwise they're idiots.

The Vikings gave up a 1st and two 3rds to get a defensive end from Kansas City.
The Cowboys gave up a 1st and a 3rd to get a wide receiver from Detroit.

You can't give up a franchise QB for just one pick. Even a top 10 pick.

He may not be Tom Brady but he's better than 2/3 of the QB's in the league already, and he's only 25.

If you're trying to compare him to Cassel you can't, because Cassel only played one year, on a team that was undefeated in the regular season the year before. Cutler is much more of a proven commodity than Cassel. :2 cents:

Snake Doctor 04-01-2009 10:12 PM

ok, according to this the Broncos front office hasn't dropped their pants and bent over to take Lex Steele with no lube.

Citing a source, Glazer and Marvez reported that the Broncos want more than a first-round and a third-round draft pick in exchange for Cutler.

Looks like there is more to the story now on espn.com

Cutler's been acting like a whiny little bitch who just got fucked and the guy didn't call her the next day. Although Cutler is a decent QB, the problems he'd bring to training camp by acting like this aren't worth shit. The Broncos are being smart about this, imo.

I think he just wants to be respected as a starter. That's all, not be questioned and have to fight against Jon Kitna or Trent Dilfer to be the starter.

I think if he goes elsewhere he'd be a team player for sure.
