I've seen this argument a lot and I have to say I disagree with it.

Porn is a mostly disposable product, you view it once and look for something new. If you cut down the amount new material for the tube sites to steal, you put a big dent in what makes them so popular.

Go surf the big illegal tubes. There are constant reposts and the surfers complain in the comments. If there is so much available, why are they reposting? Believe it or not, they are running out of scenes.

What I am saying is tube sites could buy a ton of non exclusive content but it won't last forever, they will run out and surfers come back to the tubes for the new stuff. Once they run out they start to decline in their popularity.

Any DRM doesn't have to perfect and really only the big players need to sign up for it to work if you are looking to defeat the tubes. To stop file sharing it would take perfect DRM, but the tubes only need their supply cut off by a sizable amount. Over time the surfer will exhaust the content and start searching again in other places.

Pardon me? Just think a little, affiliates will get lower payouts from the sponsors, they WILL charge the affiliates for their expenses, thats for sure, members will pay higher prices for the content, its a double execution actually, has nothing to do with raising profits.

You cannot judge a company based on what they have done in the past, because we have some successful companies in adult business who used to be rapists, child molestors, etc...
