I plan on signing up with ccbill for a new site here soon. Hopefully we will hear some reviews about all this soon as programs switch over.

Not entirely. If you have a ton of marketing materials with links already, and wish to continue using them, they WILL still work, even when migrated. But if you wanted, for example, to register those marketing materials with us to be able to track them through our new WMS marketing materials reports and make them available to new affiliates through our marketing materials screens, then yes, they would need be registered through WMS, and likely links would need to change.

Okay so say if we would want to make them available to affiliates via your new marking screens, would we be able to have the exact same tools we currently have (flash videos, potd, votd) but they would just have new links?

Why did you guys launch this without training your customer service (Live Chat)?

I am not sure if WMS has this... but will you add a feature so that you can pay percentage to affiliates from NET and not GROSS. Currently our only choices are to pay the affiliates % of GROSS or split the fee... we would like to split the NET after fee.

Yes! Even if the marketing material type is not listed in the new WMS you can add it and provide a link to it. So yes.

From an affiliate's perspective this is a HUGELY important question that I do not believe has been answered yet. We need REAL tracking capabilities for affiliates! If an affiliate has say multiple blogs, free sites and other traffic sources and that affiliate send traffic to multiple different CCBill sponsors, there is currently no way to do proper tracking of what sources you sales came from! Not unless you use the horribly awkward kludge of signing up for the same CCBill sponsors multiple times with multiple affiliate id's and using each one for one source of traffic- ie, each individual blog post or banner! Does the new affiliate admin allow one to have real tracking variables so one can actually figure out where your sales are coming from?

Our tier1 staff is responsible for answering the live chats, they have received some very basic training so far and will be receiving more comprehensive training during the next couple weeks. This is a brand new, very large product and initially we would like our best techs providing the support for it.

This is not in the new system but we will certainly take it under consideration for future implementation.

We are working with CCBTools and other 3rd party vendors to assist with their integrations.

Currently the referring urls are reported but in the new system yes, we are giving the referring urls their own report!

Thanks for reply but my question about tracking referred to an affiliate being able to track where his sales were coming from. I see a few others asking the same question but don't see an answer yet. I think Jimm_Gunn sums up what a lot of people currently do.

The last part of my original post referred to "How will the 'who gets the sale' differ from the current system?".

From your replies to Scotty.T you are saying that an affiliate gets the credit for a sale even although the surfer hasn't used that particular affiliates link to visit the site???

Either you are not grasping what is being asked or this is very very wrong. You can't have universal ID's overwriting cookies when the site hasn't even been visited.

What I really would have liked to see is a way for programs to show their webmasters sales stats on their own website.
There are already processing companies which can do that.

Unfortunately neither of these are available at this time. There is a potential plan to institute the API that you speak of but I cannot give you a timeline just yet.

I have put off commenting about this until I am fully aware of the new systems functionality. I will be addressing this shortly.

The new system does not necessarily differ from the old system in this regard. In the old system if I click through affiliate B's linking code after affiliate A's and I signup, affiliate B will get credit for the sale.

In the old system both affiliates would have to belong to the same program and that is still the case with the new system.

I think you are wrong, but I'll wait till someone can 100% confirm it with real testing. This was never the case before, and if it is the case now it unfairly rewards the last affiliate.

Ah v_rocks is right assuming sites A,B,C are all in the same master account. He is wrong if site A,B,C are in different programs with new universal id #s. My bad on that one... but that is what the confusion is about.

This is correct and just to further clarify: Affiliates will be issued one universal ID but they will still have a unique ID to each program which will be encrypted in the new style of linking code.

The new universal ID's have been formed to make things easier for the affiliates but the linking code will still be per sponsor. So an affiliate cannot just use a universal ID to overwrite any cookie. I hope that clears it up.

I know there are alot of ppl that would increase their promotion of cc-bill sites if the tracking was good. If you implement it the way I suggested in the earlier comment I would probably increase my sales volume with cc-bill to at least $10k a month by the end of the summer.

Unfortunately the old way of tracking (using multiple accounts with the same sponsor) is still valid in the new system. We are still making imporovements on the affiliate tracking abilities but as of right now we do not have a way, besides using multiple accounts, to track campaigns for affiliates.

there was something about a search engine or index page that will list all sponsors using ccbill ? one that affiliates an use for finding sponsors, when will that be available ?
