Was that a joke about people thinking the affiliate business is dieing or is dead?
With your #3 through, I think it should be changed to 'affiliates can read through programs bullshit posts.' Everyone knows that a 14 years and huge payouts - means nothing. It's like you are trying to convince us of your REP, that you are better than others.. When chances are nobody cares or questions that, not even newbies. Add to that, anyone with traffic knows that by simply adding a sponsor in or even giving a sponsor a push, isn't going to 'make the difference.' - We gota be a little reasonable about this. Think of this... I have pushed you, you guys have paid me a great deal of money. If I really questioned you after all these years, I would ask PK - who has pushed you as long as I can remember. But you guys come here, trying to some how convince me of your rep - as if that was ever in question by prob 90% of GFY ... So if you are wondering why people don't respond, or they aren't moving traffic over to you... Well, I would go out and say that you aren't marketing correctly. Your ideas of what Webmasters want is skewed because you think your rep should hold you... Replace your rep with proven results, people talking about you all over the place because you 'really do produce results' TODAY - and you will get Webmasters like mad. |
14 years, blah blah. MaxCash is played out and stale.
also, when you have to endure dumb spam posts from Sarah_Maxchash on a daily basis, you train yourself to mentally blacklist the program and ignore it. |

Sarah comes up with the dumbest threads ever. She forces herself to make up totally stupid questions that you know for a fact she couldn't care less about - and makes it daily a thread. :321GFY The program looks pathetic and desperate. Over the time i trained myself to ignore it because every thread about it is a plain old spam attempt. |
also, quit looking for affiliates on surfer forums, kthnxbi

why is this board a magnet for the insane?

a funny thing about this biz is that stupidity and thievery is worshiped. Imagine you just walked into a crowded convention center full of your peers and your CPA is making a similarly retarded rant. you would fire him... or any other professional for that matter. You would be thinking "wow man... you've totally derailed and lost your fucking mind"
Why is it sooooo totally fine in this biz to go full retard and then have people defend you like it makes total sense? Why is it that the only ones calling people out on that sort of retarded behavior, usually just trolls and habitual shit disturbers? I've never seen such a massive collection of irretrievably spineless, ass kissing pussies. |
Can I be here?

[QUOTE=TheDoc;15726440]Was that a joke about people thinking the affiliate business is dieing or is dead?
Not a joke. In Phoenix, I sat on a traffic panel with the title "Direct Marketing or Affiliate Marketing ....Do you choose". Basicly the tenor of the panel was whether or not you need affiliates to market for you any more and if the model was over. I happen to think it is not, but some people do, and for sure it it is changing. Many programs are lowering payouts, doing it them selves, hiring people in-house etc. It is my belief that programs and affiliates should work together especially now. This whole post was a response to sending out an open invitation to pay folks who work hard what they deserve; and not receiving one reply to a truly honest request. I don't spend a lot of time on the boards, but it couldn't be so far removed from real business discussions. |
WOW! GREAT POST JOHNNY_V! THAT SURE SHOWED THEM!
I BET AFFILIATES ARE LINING UP AS WE SPEAK TO SEND YOU THE TRAFFIC! :1orglaugh P.S. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...7926568946.jpg |

I wouldn't bother listening to or even quoting anything that troll says. :2 cents: |
sorry max cash sites look cookie-cutter. come up with something unique and people will be all over it.
there is a lack or originallty in the pay site market lately. |

and as far as original, i don't mean throwing up a clone of the one original paysite idea that came out in the last year.

brazzers is one of the few that has significant in house traffic and still are agressively soliciting affiliates as far as i can see.
the death of the affiliate shit is bs. anyone who knows seo and traffic generation isn't going to wotk for someone else. |

That's some funny stuff.... It sounds like a big group of people just clued in that in-house traffic is far more valuable than Webmaster traffic. But without question, plenty of others have known that :) The affiliate end isn't dieing, affiliates still produce more sales globally than any other medium online. But our core base of Webmasters has gotten much smaller, which is producing far less global traffic for our Industry. So to me if they want to put a final nail into the industry coffin, they only need to exclude affiliates even more. This is the mentality of, build it and they will come... without exchanges, without other sites linking to them, pushing someone or them, ie: Other Webmasters by the 1000's all being part of the global traffic exchange - they wouldn't have any traffic to make sales. |

I find that very hard to believe I want stats. |

I believe there was an Xbiz article just recently on the same topic. Unlike you, I do spend a lot of time on the boards and I actually like GFY for all its pains. As you know, I do a lot of biz here too. The fun posts are just that..a bit of fun and a chance to network. I know a lot about some of my affiliates through those posts..sort of like taking them to the bar at shows. What I do think is that a lot of people with traffic don't know that they can come and talk to an company rep and 'do biz'. They think that it is something only massive whales can do. They watch threads with people measuring their dick sizes in dollar bills and think that they must be so far out of those guy's league that they don't feel they have anything to put on the table but many of those that don't moan the loudest do and I want those guys to know they can come to me and deal. I want them to know that if they can send sales then I will bend over backwards to help them get whatever they need, etc. So my message is a bit simpler than yours....I want the guys that are lurking in the shadows that have solid sales in them to hit us up and talk to us about what they want and need. |

I can't say I have seen the stats.. But I remember the big promos when they were breaking the marks.. And I remember karasxxx had like 350,000+ uniques a day (just the one site) at one time, via a external counter. I think it's true.. anyone that has been around long enough has no reason to not think it's true. |
Maxcash should of came out with a new affiliate program, new sites, new backend, new everything. This was a big blunder IMO.

when BradM tells Sarah that she's naive when replying to Mr Right because he has no traffic - that's the funniest part of the thread so far
