My first personal computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80.... The Trash 80.
No hard drives, B/W monitor, chain of floppy drives, and Visicalc software.
Worked the bitch to death.

Haha, nice toy! :) Personally I was a "Speccy" fan. But I still remember that first computer I was paying with. It was Hungarian "TAP 34":

Can you imagine 8-inch floppy disks, ah? :winkwink:

james_clickmemedia 04-20-2009 05:39 AM

C64 was my first computer however all I ever did with it was play games.

My first useful computer was a 486 DX33 with 4MB of ram and I paid extra for the huge 120mb HD as 80MB was just not big enough :)

MS word worked just as well then as it does today, crazy... Just took longer to install initially.

The Dawg 04-20-2009 06:03 AM

Ah, my C64. We went through so many of those things. Seemed like they worked for about a year, then you go to turn it on and.... BLACK SCREEN. :(

Great memories of logging on to BBS systems overseas using PCPursuit to get the latest 0 day warez. :1orglaugh

Hayes 2400 baud modem FTW!

While not just 'trying' to sound the oldest...

My first WAS an MZ80K... But the first I bought myself, with my OWN money.. Was a ZX80...
