You didn't get it. I meant that I don't get all the info from media (like "yours" or "ours"). I'm used to get it from the real people directly (thanks a lot to the internet) and GFY is one of those sources I consider reliable where I can hear that Americans say about their country. This is all I wanted to say in my previous post.

This is not so extreme as you think. Try being the only Russian in a room full of English guys and endless vodka/beer/whisky :winkwink: I was working as a programmer in some mixed international (Russian/English/Italian/German) group for a rather long time (a 45 days watch 12 hours a day w/o weekends). That was a really priceless experience - believe me :1orglaugh

Where does this ignorance come from? How could you possibly compare the Russian standard of living with Americans when you've never been to either? Our social cast system is nothing compared to Russia or Turkey. We have in America a thing called opportunity. Example: A bodybuilder comes to America from Austria with $75, little to no English, overstays his tourist visa by 2 years. 25 years later he is worth $250 million and runs the 7th largest economy in the world and this place called California. Try that in Russia or Turkey?

Now, I've also been to Turkey and seen mass poverty especially outside the cities. I can assure you you will NEVER see this type of poverty in the US. Our tent cities are for people who want to live there, made very bad choices, or mentally ill. If not, why would there be 16 million (1/2 the population of Canada) illegally working here?

Our freedoms are not going in the toilet. You need to be here to understand our politics. Example: I can go buy an assault rifle and a case of beer on election day. Go try that in your country. :1orglaugh

i never compare Tr and US each other economically, in fact i didn't mean to insult Americans though, what i meant was, "Land of freedom" which US has been called in it's history turning to shitty country day by day and almost no one shows any reaction against this.

as i said above, no need to been to US for having clue about it, in real life and thru internet i have Russian and American friends and 2 Americans closely i m doing business together with.

additionally i don't understand why some of You American's example is always about rifles when it comes to freedom,

in Norway You can't even buy a toy gun, but i never heard of Norwegians complaining about it, because they can have fun, they can do what ever they want and no one tries to mess their freedom though.

as of myself i m a 100% Turk in blood, not because constitution said so, My ancestors were most famous soldiers/warriors all over the world, even today we have one of the strongest armies in NATO, so You can expect me to have sempaty to guns also, however if they even ban all guns i could really care less, because freedom of speech is the one of the basic things/ needs for human.

anyway, what's my main point is if i were You, even someone from Iran or North Korea tells my freedom flushed thru toilet, i would put my hat in front of me and would think about it.

these Countries Situation being worst then Us, doesn't mean someday we can't be like them.

so please think one more before You write, maybe Today You're better then us, but it doesn't mean tomorrow we can't be better then You :2 cents::thumbsup

Better yet, have Linux as your OS and the boards guards will not know what to do. They will have to call the guys at the national security agency to try and figure that one out. :1orglaugh

To say I was amazed on the changes, would be an understatement. Turkey and Russia have their own personal charms and so does the US, but none are better then the other. What I liked about Russia is they went "green" way before the term was coined. Most Russians also own Dachas. This is a small country home where they raise all their (water is free) vegetables or just relax. The land was given to them by the government to do what they want. Plus they don't have to pay property tax. For an American this was just way too hard to understand.

Purchasing Guns in the US can be a political statement. When you buy a gun in America a document is sent to the Federal government. This could send a clear message you're not happy with whatever. All politician follow gun sales data. :2 cents:

It's also possible Americans are buying guns because they are tired of all the bullshit that politicians send their way and how they favor big guys (banks, insurance companies, oil companies and other large industry) yet they forgot to bailout the small guy who needs help as well.
Maybe some Americans figured that the way to stop these same politicians from lieing to them anymore is by killing the motherfuckers and starting fresh with new faces, ideas and policies.

Actually yes, it was funny. To be honest, there was nothing what surprised me in the USA with the exception of quite few small things. I saw exactly what I expected to see there.

Cyber Fucker 06-14-2010 04:32 PM

Awesome, will they also install spyware on my laptop as well?

If I wanted to smuggle some data would I really had it on my laptop or rather on my emailbox accessible from anywhere or microchip.

It's going to get to the point that if you disagree with anything the Government says you will be locked up. China style rule is coming to the US and other western countries. If you can't see that you're a fool.

Who cares, we're all fucked. Bend over and take it bitch.

Don't like it? Do something about it. Whining on the internet won't cut it. Kill a cop, kill a politician, bomb a government facility, burnt them out one by one until there's not one of them left. Bloody revolution is the only answer. :1orglaugh

You have to admit that when you traveled to different States the attitudes, politics, foods, etc. are just as diverse as traveling to different countries in Europe accept for sharing the same language? A good comparison is the Southern States charm compared to California. Meaning, if you're in the French Quarter (New Orleans) enjoying a hurricane (drink) strolling down Bourbon St. is far different then eating a taco walking on Santa Monica pier?

Course you are absolutely right. The USA is a multi-national and it is also simple a rather big country with different climatic zones etc. So yes, different states look totally different (including people, food, nature etc).
