i wouldn't exactly consider america at the top by any means. the people who own your ass sure, but as an american citizen you have a lot less going for you than you think. your own leaders shit on you like worthless trash, you're trailing way behind many other first world nations as far as quality of living, and the rest of the world thinks you're a bunch of fat, stupid, ignorant, annoying pricks. ya, must be grand to live in america. :2 cents:

The late great Alan Dundes. One word of caution though: he uses Freudian analysis on some of his claims. So I'm not sure if I agree. Regardless, his analysis and historical and cultural references/examples make for great reading.
