plus, if your measuring of quality is what other people do wrong instead of what they do well... I don't know, guess it's your problem, not mine.

As for Dickman's design, the Casey Parker design is like 100 times above your quality in strict design terms (although in marketing terms is pretty weak and I bet it converts very bad). The MariahVip is simple, yet a different thing to everything else they have. See, you had to search hard for something simple and minimalistic (not badly done, just simple), while I took a look at your portfolio and all your designs are exactly the same, and to make it worse, a copy of another designer.

Let's see:
1) Look for a cool background
2) Add some text in Futura MD BT font
3) Add some text in another Futura family font
4) Add some glow effect. Add some pics
5) Let's not forget the glass buttons
6) Call it a tour (or even your own portfolio)

Listen, I can't design shit, I always have cool ideas yet I don't have the skills to make them go real, but I've designers that can do 4 tours like that (and way better) per week. Believe it or not, I'm trying to help you since I guess you're either too young, either too cocky, maybe both. You're not doing yourself any favor and every single thing you say makes you look worse, so why don't you simply stop embarrassing yourself and leave Mutt alone? He probably knows 1000 times better than you what he wants and how to achieve it, the design for his sites is 100 times above your skills, your only resource is to find the weak spots for other people and compare yourself to those weak spots. Can you see what I mean?

Anyway, just an advice from an older guy, just do what you want, I won't stop you :)

The Casey Parker design is nice - it's a couple years old now and the 750 pixel width looks out of date these days. The MariahVIP one is average at best.

i did give it a try though - i emailed the registrant owner of Destiny.com a few weeks ago, they didn't reply. Which I never understand, for all they know I could be a billion dollar corporation looking to buy the domain for a million dollars.

We haven't finalized her name - we've switched names already a bunch of times - if people want to use a last name in their mockup designs - Destiny Jones or Destiny Jane would be good.

web design has a PURPOSE - to communicate something clearly about what's being sold, in this case, an amateur solo girl site. that design is clean, bright, easy to read, nothing too fancy, because it's supposed to represent that she is an amateur, which she was.

and there are two alternate tours http://free2.dawsonmiller.com/main.php and http://free3.dawsonmiller.com that are teen themed for people who run sites aimed at the barely legal teen fans.

No matter your opinion of that design, it converted when she launched, and it still converts today.

I'm an affiliate, and that is what I care about. Designs that convert. Not designs that are built to impress other designers or webmasters.

Good luck to all that join the contest. If I were a webmaster, I would be all over promoting her. If she's ever in Vegas, she's welcome to be shot at our house, and I have a ton of clothes/outfits. But I also speak true, and Dawson's site has slayed credit cards far and wide. That is what matters. It's not about who is the most talented in terms of graphic arts, it is who can create designs that get someone punching their cc digits into a join form.
