It's funny because someone on another board just posted yesterday that they'd pay $100 to have a mobile version.

Again, I don't see that happening, especially on mobile. Those browsers are very limited in what you can do... which is.. nothing. I'd have to make a whole new browser just to ignore people on message boards.

what actually prompted me to make the thread, was so often someone will make a thread that has a statement that gets completely refuted in the thread by some intelligent posters, and then along will always come some dufus or three that post something that proves that they didn't even read what had been discussed and concluded in the thread, often agreeing with a completely erroneous statement made by the OP, and showing zero respect for the fact that there is a back and forth discussion going on :2 cents:


eg. O.P. post: Google loves directories, I had an Indian submit my site to 1000 directories this week, so now I am going to sit back and wait to jump way up in the serps!

2nd poster: You moron, google laughs at worthless directories, you may as well have used your $5 as toilet paper rather than send it to some kid in a third world country running some lame script on his parent's computer.

3rd poster "dufus": good thinking O.P., can you post contact info for the directory service?


the above is a fictional example, but this kind of thing goes on over and over again on gfy, but usually even in less intelligent broken english sig-whore fashion, a la "great advice, thanks!" :upsidedow

other times its not, but! at times it may be that they are actually retards, drunk (like teencat usually is) or jon clark (still can't figure that one out but he makes me lol anyway)

you are right, it isn't only here... I guess one always likes to hold out hope that there is an actual intelligent conversation going on and when someone posts after you proving that they didn't even read the post right before the one they posted, let alone any others in the thread (perhaps their limit of comprehension is 2 or 3 words out of a thread title and no more :1orglaugh )

what's funny about all this is people been screaming GFY is getting killed for a long time. Well for something that as been getting killed for a little while I think it is doing a pretty damn good job still standing up.

Seen that guy voa? He's here every day, making hundreds of one line responses, most likely without reading anything. Just says something to say something, over and over again. I looked at his history once, and it was ALL one liners basically.

funny you mentioned him, he was one I had noticed just before I made the thread.... his are kind of no thought sig whoring posts where it seems like he might not speak the language at all, so his don't actually suck as much as people who do speak english that do that kind of thing
