well i know a couple of the guys i have spoken with have told me they had names listed on the site that had bids higher than the reserve prices so some did get sold at least technically

would be a shame if this was just a way to scam money (not saying it is just would be a shame if it was) though as right now i have chatted with 4 people and non of them have heard anything about this auctions results if the names they had listed sold or not

""they had names listed on the site ""
what site is that ??

we were at cybernet no one there knew anything about the auction...

Webmaster Advertising 07-06-2009 01:10 PM

slav check out http://www.seizethedomain.com there are about 600 names listed there right now i just checked the 2 names i had listed and the price for the next bid is higher than my reserve so it looks like if this was real auction i have made about $600

bloggerz 07-06-2009 01:16 PM

I would also love an update on whether or not my domains sold

Hit me up on ICQ if you can.

FakeNick 07-07-2009 07:26 AM

so has anybody heard anything back about this yet i have a few names listed that i want to know if they sold or if i can take them off and submit to moniker or develop them instead

tranza 07-07-2009 08:25 AM

That looks a very nice opportunity!

~Ray 07-07-2009 08:31 AM

that guy was all over the board until the "auction" , so, you would figure that if it was a sucess, then he would be all over the board letting us know.

yet, all I hear,,, are crickets.

chemicaleyes 07-07-2009 08:44 AM

Still waiting for contact to complete on a domain I won. :(

I asked myself the same question Tiptop. Then again this is GFY. The dead rise from their ashes here.

An important lesson was learned today. Next time I plan on disconnecting myself from the "f***in world, make sure to give notice to the GFY village people. Its only proper.

LAJ kept his word and got ahold of me. Found me spending your $ somewhere far away from GFY. :thumbsup

Keep this between you and I ... I think some people need :helpme

Notices went out to all people that had pending sales. Did I miss someone? Its possible. Do yourselves a huge favor. If you have a question for Alex, contact Alex at: [email protected] Odds of getting a response when I get around to it, improve greatly if you contact me at my usual place of business.

SlavDogg, I have no idea what you look like, but offline reintroduce yourself to me. Tell me what name you went by at Cybernet. Met almost everybody at one point or another at the show.

FakeNick contact me directly, so I can follow up with you.

The best advise I gave everyone from the start was to submit to both Moniker (interNEXT)and us for Cybernet. If anything sold, you would pull your domain from Monikers upcoming auction. I believe Monikers submission deadline has now passed.

If I didnt respond to you here on the board, I am either ignoring you :1orglaugh or simply have forgotten to. :Oh crap

Seems Advertising Sex that you miss my SPAM.:thumbsup. Look on the boards starting Thursday for exciting news from SeizeTheDomain. Let the countdown begin. :321GFY

Oops I meant :thumbsup

a lot of hype and looks like absolutely zero interest if the the domains (that I can count on one hand) that got bids are anything to go by. Your site shows 4 domains attracting bidding attention with the largest bid being $45.

Sorry, but I'll keep my domains at sedo for the next one, at least there the sedo guys promote the good domains, which generates interest.

Dear Domain Owner,

We have received the signed agreement and listing fee from you. Thank you!

The domain auction list will be ready on Friday. We will send out an excel spreadsheet by Saturday. Please look it over. If your domain is not listed, get in touch with us right away.
I never received that spreadsheet, but my domains were listed on your site anyway.

And a final headsup - host your site on a server that can serve pages, because it is friiiiiiiiiiiiken slow as hell. I had deja vu of 56k baud modem days.
