Although it's fun to search for names and watch drop lists. I recommend you save your money on the okay names, and just buy a premium domain name. Perhaps think of a domain you really want, if it is taken but parked. Check the whois and make the owner an offer. You would be surprised that not everyone is looking to make a killing on a domain. They just might need the money now, and some of the poorer domainers can't afford to hold thousands of domains...renewal fees will drown you if your not making money with the domains. I am shrinking my portfolio from over 2,000 to around 600. It takes time to manage domains...let alone turn them all into websites. Good Luck

I almost never backorder because I think better bang for the buck can be had with expired domains, but my last backorder was for HowToEarnMoneyOnline (-dot-) com. Was the first to backorder it and no one bidded up, so got what I would consider to be a freakin' steal on it. It's weird, I either win a name like that or I end up in fierce battles - there's never any inbetween.

Today i tried to snap "alwaysleaveanote.com".

Why?
Well i googled it, and it showed a billion results.

Didnt succeed, somehow the email about it showed up an hour late and when i checked it wasnt in the auction anymore.

BUT, even when i didnt succeed now, i have this question: Was it a good domain? Does a billion results in google say anything about the domain being good or not?

I dont ususally care if l win or lose a domain but for some reason l took a shine to CelebrityGazette.com...thinking maybe it would make a good weekly celeb newspaper for someone.

No...not a good domain...it is way too long. Also by googling a 4 word domain, the search engine is going to spit out more results since it searched 4 words. If I do a search like this to see if there are results in search engines...I usually count how many times all 4 words are indexed together. Look what yahoo spit out...your 4 word domain term only comes up like 5 times together. This is why one word and two word domains are so valuable. :2 cents:
