it will never be legalized - too many people making money off of it being illegal.

and

in regards to comparing it to cigs, alcohol ....

cigs... very hard to grow the plant, very stinky, attracts weird bugs, final product is more like cigars.. and people like their 'tailor mades'. So, easy for a corp to take over and submit governmental taxes.

alcohol... not 'hard', but not 'easy' to do - and really... most people who are proud of their homebrew (beer, wine, white lightning...) are delusional - most of it really sucks. So, its easy for a corp to take over and provide a standard product and submit governmental taxes.

weed... EASY to grow, thousands of strains to choose from, it all tastes good in the end. So, NOT easy for a corp to take it over and provide a (competitive) product the consumer will be satisfied with (and submit governmental taxes).

people can't make good cigs at home so its legal/controllable, people can't make good booze (generally) so its legal/controllable, people CAN EASILY make their own good weed so its illegal/uncontrollable

hence - weed will not become legal (in most places)

sure wish it was tho

All drugs should be legal. Then you can get rid of all the drug lords, we can tax the crap out of it to improve the economy, and then all the dirt bags that can't control themselves can just self destruct and help with the population control. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

The shit people in this country get tricked into believing. Pot is evil, alchohol is social. Lol. Pot is safer than aspirin but most americans beleive its worse for you than crack. Drinking 1 soda a day is far more dangerous and destructive to a human than smoking a j a day. Fact.

If you want America to be like Netherlands.. isn't it still illegal their? I thought their government just looks the other way when its sold under controlled circumstances in specific establishments? What happens to you in Amsterdam if you get pulled over with a pound of dope in your glove box?

It should be controled, taxed and legal like booze.

All those untaxed dollars.... They should leave people with offshore accounts alone and focus on those untaxed dollars lost.

True - they spend their paycheck on weed then commit the crime to pay their rent.

Yup it's decriminalized here, you can hold (I think) 5 grams on you, if you walk around with a pound you'll have a problem lol

voa 06-18-2009 12:22 AM

Another one who misses the point. I ain't talking about being able to smoke and NOT get busted for it... As it is pretty much like that here in Montreal... If this shit is controled and growers and buyers pay taxes then our goverment could use this extra money and then cut of % of taxes we as individuals pay each year.

tranza 06-18-2009 07:56 AM

Don't need that, beer is better...

Chicks Delivery 06-18-2009 08:29 AM

I agree: should be legalized...
